Katrina is in my town and I need to achieve a total of 20 visits. Would anyone be so kind as to visit and have their fortune told? I don't have much to offer (although I can do 2000 Bells per person), but items at the gate are free for anyone to take! Thank you!

So sorry for the delays, everyone! I was led to believe that Katrina stays till 11PM, but it's actually 7PM! As much as I do not want to TT, I had to a few hours to rectify this! I will cover senbazuru and Minmin next round!

It's funny because IRL a friend of mine is trying to find a hat they lost (I sewed it for them). So maybe some good fortune will come from that.

You (and your townsfolk) need to have your fortune told 20 times total. Not wifi visitors.

Unless you are helping them get their fortunes told so they can have Katrina set up shop that much faster in their town. Then go for it

...Oh. Well, I guess I've fallen for misinformation on more than one occasion. So much to the game, it's hard to verify everything. Thank you for informing me, but I will still need to let the other two visit out of principle.

EDIT: Aside from this, the visits are still beneficial to my visitors and to me, because of the badges from Phineas.

If it helps, you are doing something nice for them by helping them set up shop for katrina and they are helping you get closer to 100 visits to your town so you can unlock the train station remodel
