Hey guys, I'm new to this game (just got NH) and I need to kick out two villagers to make space for Zucker and Static, and y'all I am s t r u g g l i n g.

I have tried every method I could find for two solid days and nothing seems to work. None of the villagers are getting the bubble over their heads no matter what I do. I've been using TT doing all the recommended times (a day, two days, a week, two weeks and a day after that, etc) and checking every single villager when they're outside and nothing. I legit don't know what I'm doing wrong and I really want to be able to do this cause Zucker and Static will get me at 7/10 of the villagers I want.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Edit: Oh, also, I did actually manage to get the bubble once with Flora by skipping a full month at the beginning of December (can't remember the specific date), but that was before I knew that coming back to this date would shift the bubble to a different villager, and now I feel like a dunce.

Just sounds like you're unlucky, it really takes a while especially when you have a large pool of villagers you dont want to leave, just have to keep going! I usually skip 1 month at a time, just feels like i getter better results when skipping that much time! just keep at it eventually you will get them out :]

What I usually do and seems to work for me:
  • Forward at least 15 days after last villager leaves.
  • Check if move-out bubble is on villager you want to leave. If not, exit game without saving then keep forwarding 1 day until bubble goes to villager you want to move.
  • Talk to villager to agree to let them move out.
  • Then save. Then forward one day and wait for daily announcement to check if villager is moving out.
  • Then save and move back to current date and load game and check villager’s house to confirm moving out.

    Hope this helps!

Heeeck, I was afraid it'd be something like bad luck 😂. I've been following instructions to the letter and I honestly felt like I was losing my mind.

I don't think I've tried this specific way, so I'll do that next. Thank you! 😊

I have a terrible time getting villagers to move. I don't tt all that much, but I might have to try that method, because it's forever for them to go on their own!
And lately, whenever I talk to villagers with bubbles over their head, they just want to sell me something....

Just make sure that you don’t finish the whole moving out conversation with the villager you don’t want to leave. You’ll know where it’s headed after the first time they talk. Just close the game without saving then forward 1 day and the bubble should’ve move to a different villager.

Yeah, I'm currently determined to get Canberra to move out. This past Wednesday was Day 15, but nobody had bubbles for moving out. It could be that the villager chosen to ask to move out that day was in their house, or it just wasn't going to happen yet. Or, what I personally think, that since the next day was Toy Day, nobody would be allowed to ask to move out because due to how the event works (gifting everybody on your island) you couldn't have somebody in boxes on Toy Day. Then Toy Day itself wouldn't be permissible for it. So Friday, Christmas day, I had Boone wanting to move out. I closed the game without saving. Saturdays nobody will ask to move out - thanks a lot KK Slider - but today it shifted to Lobo. I'm hoping Canberra will be the one to finally ask someday soon, because I just want her GONE!
