Large Area Suggestions

I'm really starting to get an idea of what I want for my island, so I'm doing some planning ahead of time while I'm still working on terraforming. My island's map will have six "sections:" the beach, my villager area, and four extensive cliffs at the corners of the map. For these four corners, I know two definitive concepts that I'll include. These are a tropical marketplace that uses a lot of stalls and the like, as well as something that I call "Flick's Garden," which is basically a garden that includes the bug/fish models that I collect. (I was considering a statue garden, but I want the Redd statues for a room in the house.) As for the other two, I'm not sure. Do you have any ideas? My island doesn't have a specific theme, other than it being tropical.

One thing I used a lot of space for on my island was some areas I decorate seasonally. Around the front of my island I have a few big, open places I put up a seasonal "fair" in. Currently, the summer fair has games, a teacup ride, a marketplace, and even a mini campground! It's become one of my favorite parts of my island, and decorating it has become one of my favorite parts of the game~ Already looking forward to the second annual Woodland fall/Halloween fair!

I also use one corner of my island for a meteor crash site. I'll probably change it up at some point, but it's a fun little area right now.

And I'd NEVER have a town/island without a proper haunted house area! I have a haunted forest near my campground (don't worry, there are warning signs before you enter it ) and I love it. It even has a whole backstory because I'm a horror writer, lol (no, really, I've got an MFA in creative writing and am working on a book). If you're has a tropical theme, a haunted jungle with some ruins or something would be EPIC! Or maybe an abandoned haunted campsite or something?

a rock garden! it gets them out of the way, and they look pretty too, plus you can incorporate your ideas for the statue and/or collectables as well in it and place some cool other items around like benches, trees, flowers etc etc.
having those rocks out of the way is awesome when your terraforming plus you can always move them later on *even if the moving of them is a total pain lol*

Perhaps a fruit orchard? I have an area that I made out that has at least 5 trees of every fruit I can grow. It really helped with villager's photos.

How about a forest campsite area. You could use the kids tents to add more camping spaces. I just did mine and decorated it with weeds and saplings as well as to give it a real forest look.
