Lasik Questions

I am a single, 30 year old dude that has had vision problems my whole life. I had glasses from K-7th grade then had contacts from 8th grade up until the present. I currently wear contacts during the day, and my glasses just at night in bed when I'm on my phone before going to bed. I just want to know if anyone here has done Lasik, if it is affordable, and where they did it? I am at a point where I want affordable options since contacts are really expensive.

My mom did it and it was about 2k for her (we're in Ontario Canada). It's been worth it for her. I'm not sure where she got it done but she went through her eye doctor.
