Latorio is in the beginning stages of being a truly Latorious Island.

Blathers has moved in and opened up the Latorio Museum, which I'm thrilled about since I had piles of items for him laying about (those have now been cleaned up).

Flo and Antonio are also in residence, Antonio JUST shared emotions with me for the first time and I'm overjoyed!

Currently, I am slowly changing things a bit. I have my native orange trees making a border around the plaza and some coconut trees I brought back from another island on the edge of the beach. Hardwoods make a natural barrier across the perimeter as well. I now have roses and mums growing around my little house, though I'm hoping to find tulips on one of my excursions. My excursions are countless now that I have expanded my pockets and silly me, not knowing my own strength - destroyed the rocks on my island. Regrettable now that I am trying to gather enough ore for the twins.

More to come as I get settled into Latorio and learn the ropes. My daughter came to visit and showed off a ladder, which she daringly used to raid the cliff top -sigh- I guess it will grow back before I learn how to make my own ladder. I plan on stealing an apple tree or two the next time I visit her though.

As of today, I have Nooks Cranny and I have placed my bridge (just have to wait for it to finish). I got a gift of apples yesterday (and a ladder) so I have planted apple trees between Nooks Cranny and Antonio's house. I also brought some bamboo trees back from a visit and planted them across the river from my home.

Tonight, I'll start clearing space across the river for new homes and continue my search for fruit trees to bring back and plant. My flower garden is growing with the native Mums and Roses. I'm excited to see the direction my island goes in and will be looking for an outdoor patio set as i have a cute idea for the rocks.

It's been a few days and so much has happened on Latorio!!

First, there are now 5 residents, the last moved in yesterday. My islanders seem to be getting along for the most part as I found Antonio and Merry singing together in the plaza last night (so cute) and than later when i returned from a mystery island jaunt, found Flo and Antonio playing with their glow sticks in the plaza while Merry watched. Pudge hasn't joined in yet, but he IS lazy so I wasn't expecting anything right off. Celia was still moving in, so hopefully starting today, I'll see her out and about. (That gives me a jock, sisterly, peppy, lazy and normal).

As for the buildings - the Museum has been expanded to include the art gallery and today the Resident office is closed for expansion. My house has been expanded as well to 5 rooms and once I can get to Resident Services, I'll pay that loan and be bell broke (I had a wonderful gift from someone to enable me to zoom through some expansions).

I also received gifts of fruit trees and have planted apple and peach so I'm happy to have that added. My bridge is in place as well.

In the coming week, I'm hoping to find Cosmos and Tulips on one of my mystery island trips (or maybe steal them from my daughter if she has them on her island - with her permission of course, since that is where I got my apple trees).

Did I mention that i saw shooting stars the other night? I learned how to wish on them and collected the fragments.

I'm enjoying watching my island grow at a nice pace and am definitely wanting to catalog some items that I wish for already (I toured my friends island and am extremely jealous)

I had visitors again last night - both my daughter and my friend. My friend left me all sorts of flowers (including the sought after cosmos and tulips) - so I'll be spending the next few days planning out where I want them. She also crafted some cute mum cushions, which I placed upstairs (I'm going to turn that into a library).

My house is coming along and rooms are starting to take shape and look like what i want - living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and upstairs library. I've added a few items to my villagers homes as well - Antonio got a mountain bike outside his place and i placed a picnic basket on Pudge's table. I'll be adding the basement soon and trying to decide between a music room or a work out room - decisions, decisions.

I was visited again by Saharah and my daughter was happy for that and than invited me to her place where Celeste was visiting. I was gifted a diy for a star wand so once I find a large star fragment, I'll be able to make myself one (and if enough items, I'll make one for my daughter as a thank you)

Other than that, it was a quiet night at Latorio - my villagers seem to all be getting along, so that makes me happy.

A relatively quiet night but noteworthy was the opening of Resident Services and the addition of Isabelle. This allowed me to place my campsite and my first ramp. Leif also came to visit so I sold off some weeds.

Besides this, I was playing with the home customization and LOVE my new exterior look. I also designed my island flag and did my best to create my own Metis Flag (see below for an example).

I have lots of plans for tonight including some landscaping and using some bead patterns to create designs for pillows and such. I also want to add another bridge near the campsite and I'll focus on designing a pow wow area on the top of a cliff as well (the one where I placed the ramp)

So last night I was soo excited to do some pixel art, I upgraded my flag and than did Hedgie for HP for my shirt, a cute duckie for my daughter's young man and 2 hedgehogs kissing for my daughter. Put all 3 on cushions and brought their to her place to surprise them with, only to find out I can't gift them custom cushions .. learned something there. The cushions are at my place for them to use when they visit or for me to look at and laugh.

Other than that, I did some daily clean up and moved around some flowers in preparation of a new villager (thinking that will happen now that my campsite is done).

Since I'm going to be quarantined in about 45 minutes (after my testing which is mandatory since my whole family is quarantined) I'm thinking there will be a LOT of landscaping done at Latorio.

End of quarantine and I'm back to work (which means access to a computer). Got a bit accomplished during quarantine!! I have 3 new villagers (Huck, Angus and Olivia), and I placed a 4th new home as well. The campsite was moved as I'm starting to visualize how I want the final look of my island to be.

My Pow Wow grounds are coming along - I now have a Circle and a fire in the center, 4 cushions around it and a vendor set up, porta potties and a trash can lol I'm going to be searching out other items i can use to make this happen.

I've also moved my little bamboo sectionto be above Hucks house and I'll search out some more trees as I only have 3. I made a small patio area next to the museum as well AND the Abel sisters are moving in! I placed their store too.

Other than all this, i've done a bit of landscaping and island hopping to mystery islands. OH and participated in my first fishing tourney, gathering some fun swag.

Since I'm back to work, tonight will be soon enough to pop into Latorio - do my dailies and see what my Island needs tonight. I defintely want to work on my bamboo forest area and search for the perfect fencing for it.

Did I mention, I'm up to 2 stars? Go me!!

I made 3 stars YAYYY - AND yesterday KK was there for his concert, meaning that I can now play with the actual landscaping of my island. Latorio received some dirt paths and a brick walk way in front of the museum to start.

Able Sisters also opened yesterday and I hung my first design (its an American Patriotic hat) as well as purchasing a few things AND finally getting a Native American Ribbon Shirt I found via QR code!!

Finally, Charlise moved in, bringing my villager total to 9. I had a visitor to my campsite but wasn't keen on meeting this Jock so i didn't invite him to stay (hopefully that works)

I did some custom cushions - the Iroquois Confederacy Wampum belt design to go with my Metis Flag design and set them up in my Pow Wow area - along with changing the paper lantern to show the Iroquois design. I'm really happy with how this is coming out and will keep looking for items to add to it.

I also fenced a small area and moved my bamboo trees there - set up an outdoor pool and a few other items from NYE that fit nicely. Zen bridge on one side and a natural ramp on the other. This little section overlooks a few houses.

I edged the patio at the museum with lilies which were gifted yesterday and I like how it looks. I also changed the hardwood tree in the corner of the patio for a peach tree.

Finally, I added a teacup ride, springy horse and cotton candy vendor to my elephant slide in the start of a playground area.

It didn't seem like a lot last night, but I guess it WAS quite a bit. Tonight I'm ging to choose an area for my pine tree forest and a place for my final house. Other than that, I may design some things or just see where the mood takes me.

Last night really was a quiet night - my daily tasks were all completed, but that was about it. I did decide where to place my final Islander plot, but need a perfect snowboy to finish melting before I do that. CJ visited and challenged me to a small fish challenge, but other than that - quietness abounded.

So excited to be able to change things up on Latorio. I made one of my lakes a "duck pond" - in the shape of a duck (or close to it). I also expanded a small piece of land behind my house and am going to turn into into a gym for Antonio, who keeps asking Tom Nook for one. Even if he can't actually "use" it, I'll be happy knowing it's there. I also put up some more fences and added a picnic blanket with a few little items to one of my rocks on the beach.

I did some traveling last night looking for my final resident and after 3 trips, decided on Bluebear!! This morning I woke up to find BB in residence and in the process of moving in.

I didn't really do much else - though CJ was there and I accepted a few challenges before I wandered off to do daily tasks and some clothes shopping. I also designed a Pow Wow sign for my island pow wow so now you know where you are when you arrive. I think this is the section of my island I am currently most excited about.
