When I loaded up my town this morning, Isabelle already had something extra to say. You probably know if you've been reading my blogs- since I paid off my last mortgage, the island is now unlocked! Tortimer had a chat with me about the island, and I kept in mind that I would visit him later.
As usual, I checked my mail and spoke to my villagers first thing. Chops moved in today, so I went to talk to him. He looks sorta weird, with his boring brown-ish color and highly detailed face. That's not necessarily bad though; he seems pretty sweet.

As I walked on to find some more villagers to talk to, I came across Freya's house plot! I forgot to mention- Angelmarina gave me Freya, one of my dreamies, to me last night for free. If you see this, thank you again! I'm doing my best to try and get all of my dream villagers ASAP so I don't have to worry about landscaping around unwanted houses. I'm glad Freya is in a good spot!

I found Snake walking around, and he had a gift he wanted to deliver for Kitt. I feel like the Snake x Pippy thing isn't working out too well. Snake keeps mentioning things about how he wants to get to know Kitt better. Oh well, maybe my first ship was a bit too much to ask.
Anyway, Kitt seemed to be pretty thankful for her gift, because she gave me a persimmon in return! Considering that Kapp'n won't be showing up at my dock until tomorrow, it's good to have an island fruit early.

I finished chatting with the rest of my villagers and began my daily work. After I had donated and sold things, I met Tortimer out on the dock, and he told me all about the great island. If only this Memorial break lasted longer, then I would have all day to visit my tropical getaway!
Later after Tortimer, I went to the plaza to check out Katrina since she had shown up in her tent. Apparently men's accessories were the lucky item today. No, thanks...I'm sure I'll be fine without them.
Knowing that Isabelle would want to confront me about my new duties, I visited the town hall to let her lecture a bit. She told me about public works projects and ordinances. Since I had over 20,000 Bells in my pockets, I immediately paid to have the "Keep Camellia Beautiful" ordinance set up. It should be enacted by tomorrow! (´∀`) As for the public works projects, I chose to set up a suspension bridge first. I'm planning on demolishing the only one and setting up another somewhere else, but for now I'll keep it and just set one up in front of my house.

The bridge won't be perfectly centered, but that's okay for me. I plan on decorating around it with flowers or bushes, and if it really bugs me in the future I'll just have it demolished. No big deal!
I then went to check turnip prices: 80 Bells each. I decided that I would wait just a little longer to see if the prices will maybe spring up later in the week. c:
I saved after that because I had some things to do. When I came back on, I sent a welcome letter to Chops and an early letter to Freya, since I had already met her as well. I attached fitting gifts to both letters and sent them off. It was past noon too, so I checked once more with Reese for turnips. They had dropped to 76 Bells. Send prayers that they'll go up soon!
I'm also now a member of the HHA, woohoo! I don't have many points as of now because I don't have any real furniture sets, but that's okay. I'll work it out eventually. c: I talked to Tom Nook and Lyle about the HHA, and I made sure to visit Digby.

Later on, when I spoke to Willow, she requested a river fish. I easily snagged one for her and she gave me a red bar shirt in return.

She also requested to come over to my house later on, and Kitt wanted me to come over too. I gladly did so for both of them. (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤
That's pretty much how today went! Just a heads up, school returns for me tomorrow, and we don't get out until June 4th. So these next two weeks, I may or may not be posting daily blogs depending on how busy I am. However, I'll be sure to keep track of the information and make seperate posts for the days as soon as I can. ; v ;
