Hello everyone! Sorry for not updating yesterday. If you read my sisters' blogs you'll know that we were busy, so I'll be sharing the past two days' events here in one post. (´∀`)
Day 29
As you all know, yesterday was the Bug-Off, and it was the first one in Camellia since I had become mayor. The villagers had nothing for me to do because of the event, so I immediately began my dailies. Shrunk taught me the disbelief emoticon, and I bought what I liked from the stores. Afterwards, I went searching for some insects in my town. Lucky for me, I spotted a birdwing butterfly and turned it in for Nat to inspect. Sure enough, I got enough points to net me first place!

Because I was positive no one would catch up to me, I took a trip to the island so I could get registered into Club Tortimer. I like to get registered early, but I've been slacking on it for some reason and I thought it was about time to get it done.
I saved for a while after the island and attended the awards ceremony. Just as I had figured, I was first place! Nate came in second and Freya came in third, and after looking at the scores, I realized that I had beaten them both by a landslide.

I ended the night by attending K.K. Slider's show.
Day 30
Today is Father's Day, and the Summer Solstice! I got a red carnation from Dad in the mail, which I thought was pretty sweet, considering that the moms are the main writers. Isabelle gave me the ladder shades today when I talked to her in the plaza. The break we've all been waiting for is officially here, but it comes with a great wave of heat. If you want to avoid a tan, you'll have to be pulling out your parasol pretty soon!

I purchased some turnips from Joan, though I doubt I'll sell them for much because I'm going to be extremely busy every morning of this week. Oh well, it'll still count towards that badge!
I got the flourish emoticon from Shrunk. I had a surprise today too- I won a giveaway! Well, there were actually multiple winners, but I was one of them. Dawnpiplup gave me ten purple roses. If you see this, thank you very much! They're greatly appreciated!
That's all I did for today! I might go beetle hunting for Bells later tonight, but it's starting to get late so I'm not sure. It's too late to pay off a mortgage anyway, so it won't need any updating.
