Mayor of Cypress
Before I get started on today's Blog, I'd like to apologize for being inactive over the past week! I was on vacation and I didn't have much time to be online. 
But I'm glad to be back, so I'll go ahead and write down everything that happened in Cypress while I was gone!
As my title (and the bulletin boards) implies, it's obvious in Cypress that the rainy weather is wrapping up! Lately there have been lots of heavy rainstorms, which can only be followed by hot weather. The grass and trees are already beginning to change color as well. For now, I'll try to cherish the remaining drops of rain, but I can't help but anticipate the warmer summer skies!
The biggest event that happened over the weeks was Snake's move. The last time he requested leaving Cypress was before I had his pic, so I couldn't let him leave. I do have it now, though, so I could finally grant his wish! Although it's a bit quiet in town without him, I'm also glad that he's gone. He isn't my favorite villager, and it gives me another opportunity to achieve a Dreamie. I still hope I'll catch him in Main Street sometime!
Another big event that happened was that I set up another PWP: the picnic blanket! I decided to place it a little ways away from my campsite-it's where I'm thinking I'll be able to place a sort of park, although I might move it more into the area where Snake's house used to be, since it left so much open space. What do you guys think?

Lately there's been lots of visitors to Cypress-those like Redd and Katrina, of course! They both visited twice over the week. Inside Redd's shop, however, all of the artwork was either already donated to my museum or forfeits. I guess I didn't have the best of luck, but oh well. He usually visits pretty frequently, so I shouldn't have much trouble completing that area of my museum. And although visiting Katrina isn't very useful (especially since I have the lovely phone in my house), at least I'm one step closer to unlocking her shop on Main Street!
Unfortunately, despite the rather cheerful news of things like Dreamie opportunities and new PWPs, Bonbon came down with a cold over the week. I made sure to give her lots of medicine, though, and in a few days she was back to her usual peppy self! Like always, the next day she thanked me for helping to nurse her back to health, so I assume all was well in the end after all.
Well, I'm off to get another one of my petitions signed over in MeghanNewLeaf's town. I apologize for the rather messy Blog, but I may add updates later if I forgot to write anything! I just wanted to make sure everybody knows I'm still here. XD Keep watch for Part 78! C:
