Have you ever met a person that even though you don't really know them, you connect in a special way? It's nothing romantic, but you enjoy knowing the person, being around them. I met one of these people over City Folk a year or two ago. I called her: Natasha-Chan. We played online, visiting each others towns and having a great time. I remember she had wii speak and her voice was soft like snow. After awhile we emailed one another. She became what I like to consider a close friend, even though it was only over a game. But emails are easily forgotten things and after awhile I forgot about mine. I borrowed City Folk and my friend wanted it back. Just like a wind suddenly closing a book without you noticing, everything that tied me to her disappeared and I forgot. Now it's two or so years later and a new Animal Crossing game is coming out. The game that made this friendship happen is returning, and I now remember her. I tried to reach her through email yet no response. If you make good friends, even if over a game, don't forget about them. Natasha-Chan, if you're out there, I hope to hear from you again.

Aw, I know how you feel. About 3 or 4 years ago, I had an email penpal. We emailed each other a few times every week and basically told each other everything about our lives. After a while though, we stopped emailing each other. I tried contacting her a while back but no response. It's a sucky feeling when you become good friends with someone and then out of the blue they're gone and they're nothing but vague memories.

What a bittersweet entry. It has reminded me of people I've met online through various forums and message boards. Some I still talk to, but most have drifted away, through no fault on either side. I still think of them from time to time, though.

I hope you reconnect with Natasha-Chan.
