Okay so I totally forgot about this until I was just looking through old photos on my phone, but check out this game I saw available to play on an in-flight entertainment thing featuring bootleg Caroline and Hugh:

I didn't play it so I can't speak on if the game was fun or not (lol) but how random is that?

Wasn't sure where to post this thread so sorry if its in the wrong place. and also sorry if the picture is ginormous

When you didn't visit your town for 5+ years and your villagers start to go crazy, attacking each other with watermelons.

But seriously, it's funny to see bootleg versions of AC characters in such silly games.

Animal Crossing took a really dark turn with its spinoff games. I didn't expect them to bring up the idea of nuclear war and the subsequent battle of a ruined society. You can see that these two villagers, once best friends, are reduced to bloodthirsty barbarians as they fight over the worthless irradiated landscape. The face of the bootleg Hugh shows a pure, animalistic fury as he chases after the helpless bootleg Caroline. The use of a watermelon, a valued food as a weapon conveys the grim message that even if we survive World War III, we shall still ultimately destroy each other using our only hopes for a better future. I'm not sure what the black, orange and pink blocks represent.

Compete with other players in an exciting multiplayer mode, or play against computer controlled opponents as you try and destroy all enemies. Plant melon bombs, collect power-ups, and blast away to win the round!

Here's a screenshot of this game. It's a free Android download but I'm kind of disappointed because I don't see any nuclear weapons.

It's beautiful. So, so beautiful.

I love those characters! They really should use them in a bigger, more mainstream game.
