Yeah, I was pretty confused when I joined. You can use TBT bells to make on-site purchases, such as buying avatars, signatures, collectibles, town tunes etc. from people's shops, or to buy villagers from the Villager Trading plaza! To transfer TBTs to someone, click on the number of bells they have (which is under the number of posts) and then you can transfer any amount. You earn TBTs by posting, or by someone giving them to you.
