Quick sketch of Mary Onette

Next time I make a sketch, I'll try to use the scanner on our printer so it'll look better

Let's take a closer look at this picture, specifically the arm.

As you can see, the forearm is a lot smaller than the other part of the arm. Real human anatomy says that they should be the same size. Here is a reference image of the pose you were going for:

Study that picture, it'll help you know what mistakes you made.

Next up, the lips:

I'm no artist, but I attempted to correct it:

As you can see, the bottom of the upper lip has a slight 'bend' you can say. Also, the lower lip is usually slightly bigger than the upper lip.

There's a lot more to be worked on, but practice will definately help! So far, your art is looking pretty swell C:

Tada! Miss Casiodora Cecily Fawn. I'm looking for critique, though I'm pretty happy about how this turned out. I know the coloring is messy, this is my first time with the Copic markers.

Do you think you could rotate your drawings? I can't properly judge with bending my head this much '-'

I would do some more studies on human anatomy. It's a tough thing to get down, but once you do, it'll help everything you draw, even when drawing in the simpler, cartoon-ish styles. It's something you wouldn't think of, but once you have a decent knowledge of the structure of the human body, that knowledge will come through, no matter what style you draw in.
If it helps, look up some tutorials on drawing anatomy, as well. Other people may explain things in ways you would not have thought of on your own.

Thanks! That's what I've been looking into lately, but I've got a long way to go.
