I restarted my town and need some friends.

Just some info about me, I work full time as a nurse so you'll most likely see me on ACNL early evenings to late past midnight (I'm a night owl) & I have the Nightlife Town Ordinance so feel free to come by if you need to sell anything!

If I am not working, I'll be playing sporadically throughout the day (I go to the gym nearly everyday, go to boxing class, see my friends, etc).

None of the few amiibo cards I have are of villagers I truly would like ot have in my town, though. Got Jeremiah through one of those.

Ah the update? Basically it lets you use amiibo cards. If you own the cards you can get certain villagers to your town, for example. That's how I got Jeremiah. You can also get characters pictures.

With Pietro coming I'll have 3 smug villagers lol

The campsite comes with the Welmoe Amiibo update. You cna buy stuff from it(rare furniture, I think) with MEOW coupons. You get those coupons by doing certain things. Depends on the day. For example, one day you might get 2 MEOW coupons if you catch a certain bug. The next one you might get 1 MEOW coupon if you get a makeover at Shamppodle.

Good thing is... you can also trade MEOW coupons for bells at the post office! Each goes for 3000 bells. SO if you have 40 MEOW coupons you can sell them for 120 000 bells!

You need special amiibo cards to get villagers to come to your campsite--there are about 20 and they are the "Welcome Amiibo" series of Animal Crossing amiibo cards, and pretty hard to find because Nintendo stopped printing them. If you have amiibo figures, all of the Animal Crossing, and (some? all?) the Splatoon and Zelda amiibo figures can be scanned--the Nintendo site has a list of all the compatible ones. Animal Crossing amiibo will show up and you can ask them to "visit" and they'll come to your campsite.

Both the Welcome Amiibo and figures show up in an RV, and you can order special items from them. The Zelda ones will give you Zelda-themed items, etc. Some of the non AC figures and the Welcome Amiibo cards let you invite the villager to move into your town. If you scan an AC amiibo figure, that character won't be in your town that day. Instead, Wisp will be there and you can't do whatever that NPC normally does for that day. So scanning Reese means you can't sell things in Re-Tail or find out turnip prices (not sure about the flea market), scanning Cyrus means you can't refurbish. You can scan a character that you haven't unlocked--so no K.K. until you have Club LOL, no Cyrus until he wakes up, etc. Their RV will be parked next to the random daily RV in your campsite in the empty spot. You can order up to 3 items from the RVs a day (that's total, so if you order one item from the random daily RV, you can only order 2 items from the RV you scanned in).

If you scan the regular amiibo cards, the villager will show up and you can ask for a random item. If you scan a regular amiibo card for a special character (like Tom Nook, Mabel, etc), you can get either their picture or a random item. They show up and immediately vanish once the interaction is over, so this doesn't affect them being in your town that day.

Scanning any compatible amiibo (card or figure) also gets you 5 Meow coupons per day, but you can only scan one amiibo per town per day.

Edit to add: You can ask any amiibo to move in except the Animal Crossing amiibo figures or NPCs--so you can't ask Tom Nook to move in with his figure, or Mabel with her card. But both the WA amiibo cards and regular amiibo villager cards will work.

I only started playing in May and just started using amiibo last week and it was surprisingly hard to find comprehensive information. This is probably not everything you need to know, but a lot of this info I discovered on my own, rather than by finding info here or on other sites.
