How long have you been playing New Horizons, and how is your island going? 
A lot of people like to find inspiration by visiting dream addresses, and people share their dream addresses in this thread if that interests you! We also have a screenshot thread where people post pictures of their island, and one of the moderators has also run a couple of Island Tours if you're interested in seeing what other people have done on their island.

Ok so a little back story im kinda embarrassed so this is my 3 switch. Im a female truck driver my spouse put my switch on the top bunk in our semi truck I didnt know until later that my switch landed in the trash and we through it out when it went looking for it about a week later it was gone and I criedHow long have you been playing New Horizons, and how is your island going?

I bought another and I broke the right analog stick it went in and tried to change it myself BAD IDEA I touch a wire now it wont turn on so I need to get it fixed but this is the 3rd time ive had to start over im treating this one like its a diamond child that fell from the sky is swear

Oh no! I'm sorry you've had to start over for a third time! I know a lot of people have started over (by choice) lots of times, but I don't see myself ever starting over, so I sympathise!
At the very least, you will have a chance to start fresh with ideas already in mind for what you would like. Wishing you all the best of luck for your third one!

i’m so sorry that you’ve had to start your island over 3 times, though! i can’t imagine how devastating accidentally throwing your switch out was. i hope nothing like that ever happens to you again!
as for island ideas, i’m afraid i’m not the greatest at those (i barely work on my own island, honestly lol), but since you’re a truck driver, maybe you could do an area dedicated to that on your island? like a gas station or a truck stop or something like that? i know there are a few items in-game that would be great to use, such as the truck and retro gas pump! if you have a NSO membership, there’s even a bunch of different road custom designs you could download and use on your island as well!

I'm really sorry to hear about your Switch struggles, but as they say, the third time's the charm, so I hope everything will be smooth sailing for you from here on out!
My island is very much a WIP, but I like Lex Play's videos on Youtube for design inspiration! She does idea compilations featuring a variety of styles and creators, island tours, and speed builds, so I think her videos are a great start if you're looking for ideas for your island. ^^
