Looking for opinions on villager yards and flowers

I've built yards for all my villagers, and I usually give them all fencing and flowers that match their house or preferences.

I used to put the flowers inside the fencing (top image) so they could interact with them (watering, smelling, etc), but now that it's been snowing a lot, I find myself digging up newly spawned flowers several days a week. I was thinking about moving the flowers outside the fence (bottom image) so they'd be contained.

Looking for feedback on which option looks better.

Also feel free to share your own villager yards/gardens!

I prefer the first one. If you have issues with flowers spawning where you don't want them, make a custom title that is completely transparent and place it around the flowers. That will stop new ones from spawning.

I think option 2 looks best, villagers should still be able to interact with the flowers place there. Usually they know they're there and will run around the fence to water.

If you prefer the 1st option though, doing what Radio suggested will do the trick. I've laid down a transparent pattern to block any more spawns from happening when a week is especially snowy/rainy.

The second one works, and since your path is stone, they won't spread as badly

i’d go with #2! it’s my favourite design-wise and imo, would curb flowers spawning more than #1 would. :’)

I like #2! I think with the flowers between the fence and the path they look like they’re in little planters.
