Hi folks! I would love to get your recommendations on podcasts. I really like thought-provoking podcasts and storytelling ones as well. Here are some that I have enjoyed in the past so you have an idea of my taste:
- Welcome to Nightvale (fictional community radio with a science fiction twist)
- Invisibilia ("Unseeable forces control human behavior and shape our ideas, beliefs, and assumptions")
- Reply All ("stories about how people shape the internet, and how the internet shapes people")
- Radiolab ("investigating a strange world")
The Leviathan Chronicles just finished and I forgotten about it until now. It's more of an audiobook with a large cast and music. It's about a scientist that discovered immortality is real and goes about unlocking the secret of it. It's been a while and I haven't finished it so I don't want to give away any spoilers.
Maybe you already know this one but I would like to recommend Lore podcast, as their description says "is about dark historical tales. Each episode explores the mysterious creatures, tragic events, and unusual places that fill the pages of history"
I listened to the first season of Serial a couple of years ago and I found it to be really compelling. I haven't listened to it since then, so I appreciate the reminder that it exists!
I really like criminal, its a podcast talking about weird crimes and how the people committed them. I don't know if you're into that kind of stuff, but I reccomend looking into it!
Have you tried any of the Jo Rogan podcasts? I find them super interesting, because the host is a meat head body builder, but he just sits there and absorbs the information that the guests relay to him like a sponge. I think he's just really enthusiastic about having conversations and debates in general, and it makes me, as the audience, more intrigued as a consequence.
