Hi everyone, I’m looking for some feedback on my island, RoseHill! It’s based off of my new leaf town, which never got completed.

I was going for a cottage core/flowercore(?) look, but I’m a bit discouraged at how small my island feels - like I can get around the entire thing in less than a minute, lol. Maybe I should put more clutter? But the lag scares me...any thoughts? Thank you so much in advance, and if you’d like me to tour your island in turn for feedback I will!

My home is also quite furnished, so feel free to explore that as well!

Haha, I saw your thread and I’m actually loading into your dream right this second! I’ll leave my feedback there ❤️🌸

Just visited and I love it!
The whole vibe is very whimsical and wonderland-y but also sweet and floral~
I think my only note would be to add something more to the museum/campsite region. It lacks the depth and whimsy the rest of your town has... maybe move the campsite forward and separate it more from the museum area? and add more decor around there as well (you should be fine adding more there when it comes to lag, just don’t add more to your already decorated areas if you want to avoid lagging)
But that’s literally there only section that felt maybe a little unfinished, overall it’s a masterpiece!

Thank you so much for your thoughtful feedback! I admit the campsite and museum were afterthoughts, I still lack proper inspiration as to what to do!😭 I’ll take your advice to heart❤️🌸

You’re very welcome!
&I was thinking about it more (because I have nothing better to do lol) and I think having your campsite be much closer to the beach (but still on the grass) with maybe a wall of waterfalls behind it and a flower lined path to a “private” camping beach would fit your theme soooo well! Adding tons of flowers to the beach around the picnic area and maybe even some of the new kid’s tents as a cozy hangout spot. Then you could decorate the museum area as it’s own separate section much more easily as well~

Also you could totally use that round lacey design on your beaches and throw cushions and candles down on top with flowers all around for some whimsical private beachside areas.

Thank you so much for more tips! I’m going to try and visualize this, it sounds so beautiful they way you’ve described it. 🌸🥺

I just got a chance to visit and I love your island!! it's so cute and whimsical and i love how natural everything feels :) I would agree with the fact that your campsite and the museum seem like they're the most underdeveloped areas but this is still a work in progress! possibly moving the campsite down closer to the beach and making a little "cove" around behind it with cliffs and some waterfalls might help separate it from the museum?? also you could possibly use more art/statues in front of the museum to make a little courtyard area with some seating and things? personally one of my favourite parts was the little cafe tucked in between nook's and ables, it was such a fun surprise to wander into!! I also love how you've used the mush decorations on your island, everything is so bright and colorful but not in an overpowering way if that makes sense haha :) I would say that the island feeling small is probably from you knowing it super well and playing there regularly! it didn't feel small to me and I'm actually quite jealous of how you've managed to fit so much in and have so many different unique areas, I feel like I really struggle with that

Woah, thank you so much for visiting my island! I took to move my campsite to the beach as you suggested, alongside peach - and omg, it looks so much better, and much more resolved. And I'm happy you liked the little cafe I built! It took a while to make because I didn't TT, so thank you for noticing! Now I just have to get some statues for the museum...they're hard to come by!

I just visited, and I really like your island. It’s so colorful and full of such cute designs and patterns. The fact that most of your villagers have big yards is so nice. I love when people do that. It makes it feel more realistic. I’m obsessed with the baker and cafe, especially the cafe! It’s got two levels!! Ah! I don’t know what your island looked before some of the other feedback, but I can tell you took their advice and moved stuff around and it looks awesome! My only critique is that the beaches feel a little empty, compared to everything else. I do like the young flowers you have all around, it adds some nice variety without everything being covered in weeds. I have the same problem with my island feeling smaller than in the beginning, but I think it’s fairly common because we are so used to it. I love your cute little island!

Wow, thank you so much for visiting my island!! The cafe was one of the most enjoyable ideas (although challenging) to make, so I’m glad it made your favorites! I’m actually so clueless what to do with the beaches honestly -so I put half grown flower to just start, lol. If you happen to have any ideas, please share!
