Anyone remember how in city folk villagers would lose their house key? I thought it was neat and kinda hope they bring it back along with the jobs you could do for villagers in GameCube. Idk it?s more interesting taking back a gameboy...a glasses case or having to track down 4 different villagers to find the items. It just made the villagers more alive feeling. What do you think of this?

Yeah, I miss that scenario.

I hope villagers in New Horizon will also want to play mini games more often, too. Hide and seek is a lot of fun to play with them, but it feels like they rarely engage the activity.

Couldn’t stand hide and seek anymore in New Leaf. Daily chore.

I honestly hated the Lost Key chores, because you could spend a long time just trying to complete it. If they're going to lose it again, I'd prefer not dropping it in the river.

I'd certainly enjoy a wider variety of jobs and mini-games, but hide-and-seek and lost key happened way too often for my tastes.

Same here. I had to play this almost every day, like please stop this guys, this is getting really boring.

I do hope they bring more variety back in this game, not just finding stuff the villagers lost, but also
things such as the ball from the GC game and the morning aerobics. I would build a giant playground
if I have to, just so that I can do something with my villagers that makes more fun instead of playing
hide and seak for the 5739th time.

it's those fun little mini games that really make the animal crossing world feel alive. i would love it if those little sports balls you could kick around make a return.

I had forgotten about that. I do hope they bring something like that back.

There's already 4 lost items in New Leaf and I always used them to decorate my rooms.

Little scenarios like losing their keys and asking us to find them would give villagers more life. I tend to hate side quests but in a game like animal crossing it has more purpose because it doesn't feel like a task but more like a favor. I guess thats just the nature of the game lol. although stuff does get tedious about 2 or 3 years in, at least it did with new leaf, having to do EVERYTHING for my ungrateful villagers

The lost key scenario annoys me to death, mainly because of how frequently it pops up. I play City Folk about once a week now, and it seems like almost every week, someone has lost their key. If it was a rare thing, like once every couple months or so, I wouldn't mind as much.

I'd like if it was one of many interaction possibilities, so you wouldn't get the same thing every time. Maybe they could ask you to put up a weather vane on their house, or take down their Christmas lights, or even help to install a new swing next to their house. I'm sure Nintendo could come up with some good ideas if they try.

Wait wait wait! Villagers could lose their house keys? I don't remember that at all! Then again I did play City Folk when I barely knew any English aside from very basic words. So maybe I just completely missed it because of that...

It sounds like one of those things that would be fun at first but will get boring and grating after like the 5th time.

Lost items

I hope they bring this feature back but the villagers can lose all sort of items. It would be nice if the items were actually visible too. Like maybe one villager lost their lunch box and they tell you where they were during the day and when you follow the trail you find a lunch box sitting on a bench. That kind of idea would be really cool.

I couldn't play my City Folk game for very long before it decided to break on me, but I always found looking for that lost key to be really fun. I never played Gamecube, but having more chores to do would be great! Sometimes in New Leaf, once you done all the villager's requests for the day, that was it. Nothing else to do other than fish and bug catch, so I kinda stopped playing New Leaf now. I wish the villagers would request more things to do everyday, so hopefully they will implement it in when the new game comes out. Nine months is a long time to wait with nothing to do, but I know I can do it. :)
