After doing some extensive research on Mario Kart Wii, I read an article about some of the new characters in Mario Kart Wii. The characters that have been confirmed are:

It's also rumoured that the following characters will be returning:

Baby Boo
Baby Wario
King Boo
R.O.B.

The roster looks incredible except for the Mii.

Otherwise, it's got the core characters to the Mario series. I expect the rumored characters to be in but not Baby Boo.

Koopa Troopa was a decent character. In Mario Kart: Double Dash, I played as Petey Piranha and Diddy Kong a lot.

I hope they return too! I only played as Diddy Kong because of his special item.

Baby Bowser + Koopa was all you needed in Double Dash.

I think regular boo would be cooler than "baby boo" they don't need all these baby characters to be honest...

Why wouldn't they? MK without Red Shells is just another racing game.
