Marvel Rivals Discussion + my own worries

Do any of you play Marvel Rivals?

I can't go long at work withought my coworkers discussing it... loudly. I like that it is a free to play game, and I have been under pressure to play with some of my long time online friends, mainly those who played Overwatch with me for hours upon hours.

My question to all who have played, is it difficult? And more importantly is the community toxic? What am I getting myself into if I play?

Games like these tend to attract super competitive players, and I just want to have fun without the stress of winning/losing.

I’m not a Marvel fan, so I have no personal experience with this game. However, as far as this particular game goes, a lot of people say it’s easier than Overwatch because of because of mouse accel (easier aiming) and the 3rd person POV.

I’ve seen complaints that it’s a bit laggy, but maybe that varies from person to person.

Considering that it took nearly a full day for you to respond, and nobody else, I assume this is not a game played by many here. Which is totally understandable!

I  am a Marvel fan (or DC, or any of the smaller comic publications for that matter) so this game appeals to me.

But I am definitely worried about the toxic community that comes along with FPS's

Yeah. I only responded bc I have some experience with Overwatch, and I’ve seen some people compare the games online.

The Overwatch community claims that the toxicity has gone down since Rivals came out…but Idk if that’s bc they’ve moved over to Rivals, or just a coincidence.
