Max amount of wishes for stars in a night?

Title says it all.

Curious what is effectively the most stars you can collect on your island the next day, I.E. the most wishes you can make the night prior and save yourself the time from wishing needlessly

20 solo, 40 with friends. The "with friends" is you getting extra fragments for visitors wishing on your island.

20 solo, 30 with friends. I think you need to make 200 wishes or so to get the 30 fragments, the "with friends" is you getting extra fragments for visitors wishing on your island.

If I understand you correctly,

I have to do 200 wishes in one night to receive 30 star fragments the next day?

I get 15-20 frags when wishing 20 times on another person's island.. there is a goal for 200 wishes, but I don't think you need to make 200 for 20 frags.

i heard how you get twenty max fragments from your own wishing, plus twenty from active wishers that were on the island that you were wishing on. the extra twenty show up throughout the day.

I think this is why people were reporting 200. The wishes are definitely not a 1:1 ratio for star fragments though.

Its 1 to 1 but the limit of star fragments you can find the next day is 20, so its not worth wishing more than 20 on either your own island or anyone else's (unless youre going for the achievement).

This info is from the Japanese guide book btw.
