I?m going to Comic con soon for the first time

So if anyone?s been can you give me some advice/tips for my first visit to Comic con please?

I?ll really appreciate it thanks.

take money for the entry ticket, for food (coz most dont let you bring your own), and for comix and other merchandise.

bring a camera to take pix of merchandise/vendors you want to remember in case they dont have cards, and of interesting cosplayers (with their permission)

bring something for autographs if your event has celebrities

oof I haven't been to MCM in years so I'm not sure if much has really changed since.

- If you can bring your own food do so, since it will be expensive in there and probably quite busy.
- Also bring water with you, it can be hot in there.
- There should still be cash machines around the site but you'll probably get stuck in long queues so get your cash in advance.
- Saturdays are typically the most busiest days, so give yourself plenty of time to move around inside the con.
- More importantly, have fun!

I've never been to a comic con, but I've been to a ton of anime/video game/nerd hobby conventions all over in the US and some in Japan. I've been going to cons, at least 1 per year typically, ever since 2002. My biggest tip is to bring a bottle to put water in. Big cons always have tons of water fountains around, and it's better than constantly paying $2+ for a 20oz bottle of water or soda.

I don't know what cons King Dorado has been to, but in my experience, pretty much all conventions let you bring your own food. I would suggest bringing some to make your food cost lower. Just pack it in a backpack or messenger bag or some other bag you're bringing with you. Cons allow bags, just some have security measures where they check it. They're just looking for dangerous things, not food, so they won't care.

I'd also suggest looking up the schedule in advance and figuring out what you want to do. These big conventions aren't just about the dealer's room. There's going to be panels, performances, gaming rooms, and all kinds of other stuff.

If you want a guest's autograph, find out the autograph policy in advance. Sometimes it's free, but sometimes they charge. And it's best if you have official merchandise for that guest to sign. Not only is that respectful, but sometimes guests require it.

And if there is something you know you'll want in the con's dealer room - I highly suggest getting into the dealer's room right when it opens and then, if it's sold by a specific vendor, making a beeline direct to their booth. You'd be surprised at how fast stuff sells out at conventions.
