Guest, can you feel the love in the air? Valentine's Week at The Bell Tree has begun with a new mini-event featuring four activities to enjoy -- new and returning collectibles are up for grabs! Dive in to the love here.
What should I do? I want to decorate for Christmas but I have no inspiration. It makes me want to start over. What do you suggest to make the island more festive?
Well it might be a little more difficult right now because the snowflakes aren't around yet, let alone the ornaments. Do you have any festive stuff saved from last year? I made sure to save some stuff and I've put it out - I have the illuminated tree, present, deer, and snowflakes out by my house, and the large festive tree right next to my house. Then I have the festive sleigh and pile of gifts out in front of Resident Services, along with a smaller festive tree, and the celebration candles on a barrel next to that. Holly bushes might help things out a bit too, and it doesn't hurt to try to create a more festive palette with your flowers. I have green mums, red windflowers, and white roses around Nook's, and red and white roses by Able's. There's also a regular sleigh DIY that you can craft some of, and put out by your villagers' houses if you'd like.
It was really hard for me to get into doing the things that I did, because it still looks like fall right now. But I knew that if I waited, then I would only have like two weeks to enjoy festive stuff before Toy Day is here. Even less if we wait for the ornaments on trees as those don't start until the 15th I believe.
If you need festive stuff, I would definitely hit up the other forums and see if anybody is willing to help you out with that. Or if you don't mind, you can always time travel to get stuff too, but I know that I don't like time traveling forward at all, so that may not be an option for you.
I am waiting until the snow sticks to the ground. Nothing looks right without the snow. The only things I have done now are a custom christmas path i found, holly bushes planted around resident services and ables(they look really nice in winter) and red and white lillies by my store. I always change my path and flowers around the stores and resident services each season. Also if you plan to decorate inside your house you can do that. I just did my livingroom. I have the falling snow wall, festive rug, festive tree and pile of gifts and a snowglobe out. Also cookies on the table and stockings above the fireplace. And a festive wreath on the door. I also saved some items for last year but I might make more too. Knowing me I will move and change things several times before I find what I like. just keep trying things and you'll find what you like. Sometimes I do that and it gives me other ideas too.
holly's already started to bloom, so definitely that! you've got 5 days until the snowstorm and 6 until you're island's completely covered in snow, so hang in there until then :] also on the 15th some cedar trees will light up with colorful lights!
for right now, maybe the topiaries you can get from nook miles rewards? the pale green variant looks frosty to me.
if you have online, you could also check for some festive custom designs to lay on the ground or display on your island :]
