about the island

like it's name suggests, this is a predominantly stars, moon, and white themed island with inspirations taken from the moon kingdom from sailor moon (aka, my entire island is littered with repeat celeste diy items LOL). i aimed to capture the overall tranquility of the Milkyway universe and the solidarity of the moon within this island!

i saw raymond going on a little stroll so i thought i would walk with him ;; however, i didn't notice that i was low highkey pushing (?) walking into him that when the "oh was i in your way?" prompt came up i paused for quite a bit feeling bad .. . though when he went on to become angry i just laughed, angry/stomping villagers look so adorable to me somehow lol

a brand new day on milkyway!

going to start off my first official journal post with a gif of zucker dozing off ;; imagine my surprise and immense awe walking into his house and finding him sleeping :'(
the most precious octopus!!! also, you might notice that there are a significant lot of gifs throughout my journal ; these are all created by me using my own screen captures in photoshop! i have zero clue on how to actually include a video in these posts aside from posting a twitter link, so gifs will have to do for now LOL

not much happened on my island so far; i walked around to do daily chores and came across judy using the crescent moon chair i placed down! not sure if it's just me or not, but i love seeing villagers interacting with the items you place throughout the island?? even something simple as just sitting on the benches/chairs placed around the island makes me happy ;; (glad it's being put to good use other than being a large source of decoration lol)

i was scouting the beach for diy bottles when i found fang!! the only cranky in my town and gosh do i treasure him :'( i always find him with his reading glasses on! and when talking to him he tells me to be careful when running ;; i always joke around saying that most crankies give off father figure vibes and tbh it's very heartwarming (especially in contrast to my significant number of lazies/smugs in my island. ..) it's nice to have a mature (?) personality around!

saw dom in the distance and found him wearing my recolour attempt of plaguinng's celestial comfort sweater! he looks so fluffy i'm? ?? screaming into the void ; although nintendo changed the sheep clothing from scarves to shirts, i feel like it makes them look so round and cuddly?? nintendo release a dom plushie i beg

self-indulgent photo with lucky in front of julian and raymond's houses in the background ;; i've been compiling a google docs list of potential clothing to gift to each of my villagers and i seem to be stuck on what to gift lucky LOL

love your user name, love your island theme, love sailor moon and love love the gifs <3 esp the zucker sleeping one!!! ;o; and a tip for fellow gif makers, i just learnt yesterday that if you immediately press the + button as you open up the camera app, all of the user interface controls disappear and you can record videos without having the the camera lines in the video )) can't wait to stay updated on your journal wowie, it looks great~

AAA thank you!! i actually thought i completed my map. .. and i realised it was actually boring (?) like there was nothing left to do in the game anymore so i restarted some areas to design at a slower pace this time ; u ; & i know!! there's so much talented artists i'm in complete awe at all the different types of art styles; my nmt/rlc stash has completely diminished from placing so much art requests LOL

a rainy day on milkyway

went into raymond's house only to find him sleeping with a sandwich in his hands!!! aa i love it how new horizons incorporated villagers actually holding around items like the tree branches to sandwiches and even drinks lol it's very adorable and i'm actually sad that our own villagers can't do the same LOL let me hold a sandwich too nintendo

probably going to start up a mission of finding all my current villagers dozing off and create a compilation with all their sleepy faces put together

anyways, i got really excited starting up my game today and seeing that there was heavy rain bc i'm somehow always under the assumption that heavy rain = rarer fish spawning ;; however after spending a good hour running alongside the beach all i caught were sea bass.. . so i gave up on fishing and went on to give my daily gifts to each villager in hopes for their photos dksdf

marshal nope'd out of trying to make the rain go away

he decided that the rain did not deserve his cute song!!

LMAO lucky is a mood!! pretty relatable-ish in real life as well ; while rain is nice to look at it's definitely one of my disliked weathers to actually have to be outside in ;u;

ran into mr. accountant cat again only to find out we are matching

the shirt we're wearing is my attempted recolour of nyecuh's beautiful pocket daisy design!
i get really happy when i find villagers out and about wearing custom designs because i'm not ready to gift them any clothes yet (preservation of their interior habit that i need to get out of dkjsdf)

zucker was not going to let the rain stop him from singing his heart out to 'two days ago' !!

also, i found out fang collects umbrellas! super neat hobby to have and lines up well with my passionate hobby to trying to collect all the furniture/clothing pieces this game has to offer so far LOL

small update
so, like many others i finally decided to restart my island's current design.. . i really disliked how much room the south/south water exits take up, my overall placement of buildings, and the blocky straight paths (nothing wrong with straight paths but i love how lovely rounded/winding paths look as i feel like it gives off the illusion of bigger space !!)

here begins the start to my island renovation with the partial removal of my river!! not sure what i'm going to do with it but i'll slowly figure things out.

in the meanwhile, a kind soul traded me a fake gallant statue for a few of my candles (which thank you once again!) i decided to place it near my museum entrance temporarily and was so surprised at how big it was LOL a whole two-level high
