So seeing that there was recently a big update decided to start a new world. It has been fun
I started in a desert region, nothing but sand and cacti in view... well there was some grass but not much. I decide I must clearly be Egyptian for some reason, and therefore required a pyramid! now building with sand has a drawback, it falls, so I needed to start mining something more supportive. So I went digging a mine like I always do.
In this mine I slowly built a stair way spiraling down. Normally I run into some kind of cave... but I actually hit the bottom of the world without running into anything. Started digging outward found some red-stone, coal, metal, and a ton of cobblestone. Only a small amount of gold, and as luck would have it, was able to find three diamonds after some time. Also found a weird new blue thing, think it just makes dye though.
Emerging from the mines with all my stones I began building my pyramid, and it was good. Inside the pyramid I built another mine, actually connects to the first in the bottom section. It was time to harvest obsidian to invade the other world....
Son enough I had a portal set up, and adventured to the dangerous realm. I brought enough obsidian to build another portal, my mission, go to a distant region and steal as much of the land as I could! I gathered some brimstone, and a bit of glowstone dust while there and just went randomly to set up a new portal.
I emerged in a winter region... odd there are trees mimicking pines now, and some birch I assume. I went wandering to see this new distant area... and got lost, VERY lost. I set up on a calm little island and dug down deep to get some red-stone and metal to build a compass. Luck of the gods I stumbled into a trove of treasure, I found ten diamonds in the caves I found deep in the earth there! I got what I needed and set of for home by boat. Upon seeing my pyramid in the distance, one thing became clear. It was not nearly big enough. And so the expansion began with all the cobblestone I had been acquiring. It was not until an entire side was done that I figured out I could make sandstone... sad really, so now I need a lot of sand, and the cobblestone will just reinforce the building. I will have a pyramid in a pyramid after a while.
Tune in next time for ARROW TRAPS!
