Missed all the awesome Pre-Order bonuses! 😭

My family preordered New Horizons for me at Christmas from Amazon. At that point no pre-order bonuses had been announced yet. As the bonuses were being unveiled my family & I were wondering what Amazon's pre-order bonus would be so we didn't cancel the order. Boom - the tech badge sold out. Blam - the journal sold out. Bang - the tote bag sold out. The only pre-order bonus not sold out is the poster but I've had problems with Gamestop actually delivering on release day so I'm hesitant to order with them again.

What's Amazon's pre-order bonus as of today (February 27th)? Nothing. NOTHING. How could Target have a pre-order bonus & not Amazon?! Sigh. At least I'll still get the game on release day.

Amazon does offer pre-order bonuses though. My son has ordered many video games from Amazon & over 2/3 had some sort of pre-order bonus. That's why we thought Amazon would have one for NH. I'm disappointed that they don't.

You could always cancel the pre-order and pick it up at Wal Mart the day of release. It'll only be $50, which will be like a pre-order bonus of $10 straight into your pocket.

I was also disappointed with the NA preorder bonuses compared to those in the UK/JP. I'm kind of hoping I can find someone selling some individually online after release (not for an arm & a leg).

Every Walmart within a 10 mile radius of our apartment is selling NH for $59.99 for the game alone. Shipping would be extra & pick would be free but the game is still $60. Is your Walmart offering some sort of discount?

I agree. The NA pre-order bonus are not as good as other countries but I was still hoping to snag something. I may check eBay after release and see if I can find something as well.

The online price will be different than the in-store price. If you go into Wal Mart the day of release, you should be able to buy it for $50. Same goes for Doom Eternal, if that's your thing.

I didn't know that. I don't drive so I don't know if hubby would be able to pick it up for me after work.

I missed the Target Preorders (Sold Out), so I bought it from the Eshop. Way better. Game is already downloaded. Don't have to drive anywhere on Friday, March 20. I'll be able to play ASAP on Thursday March 19.

Problem with Amazon is you may not see that game until 8PM on Friday.

As someone that bought Botw as a preorder from amazon, it’s why I went with target this time around (don’t know when they’ll deliver as of now, it still says estimated date of March 23-26th and hasn’t changed yet)

Huh, my bad. I've never heard of Amazon having a preorder bonus. I'm sorry you missed out!

The Walmart tote bag was still available as of the day of the Direct last week. I don't know when it sold out. The Target one sold out pretty quick. I think it was gone within a day or two of it being announced.

The Target one was the best US one IMO. That sold out way before the Direct aired though, and I was still a little on the fence until seeing the Direct. I'm not particularly worried about it though.

My family ordered NH for me as a gift so I didn't get the option of digital. They still won't cancel - jerks. lol!

With Amazon Prime I get release day delivery and it does actually get here on release day. I've had problems with GameStop getting things to me on release day before though.

After seeing the Direct I went on Walmart because I really wanted the tote and it was sold out (at least in my area). I liked the Target one but I don't journal so I figured for me it would have been a waste. I figured I'd let someone who might actually use it order. Now I'm sorry I missed out. Still having the game is the most important thing so I can't wait for March 20th.

Pretty sure the only bonus was a poster from EB Games. Cute, but I already have a million posters with no where to put any of them. So I just pre-ordered the digital copy so I can play as soon as I wake up instead of having to wait for the mail to arrive. Really wish we had at least one worthwhile pre-order...

does Walmart do midnight releases? Saving $10 sounds very tempting, and I know that Walmart is open 24/7 but here they always close off the gaming section at 10PM. So I'm wondering if they keep it open for a bit longer when a new game is releasing or if maybe I'd be able to pick up the game before the section closes off.

If your Wal Mart is open 24/7, then yes, you should be able to get it at midnight on the 20th.

Target's pre-order is open again, but this time, is only available with free shipping. I ordered it, and may buy the game on release day, then return my mailed copy with that receipt after it arrives.
