The more you plant is more likely the money tree is too grow...
For example:
90,000 Bells will give a 90% Chance of a money tree growing, while 9,000 Bells will give a 9% Chance of growing. 900 will give 0.9%, 90 will give 0.09% and 9 will give 0.009%.
If you plant 100,000 Bell, it's sure to grow.
If it successfully grows, it'll grow 3 money bags of what you originally planted. So if you planted 30,00 bells and they grew successfully, the grew would 3 bags of 30,000 Bells giving a total of 90,000. Hope this helps.

So then, planting 100,000 bells constantly would give 3 bags of 100,000 and therefore a profit of 200,000 with a 100% chance of success? If it always grows what you put in, would putting in 1,000,000 yield 3,000,000 and a profit of 2,000,000?

you can only hold 99k in one bag. I wouldnt plant one now since winter is coming and snow kills saplings.

The % thing hasn't been confirmed. Also, in the first thread, the person who was talking bout it completely contradicted someone else who said they made a certain amount of Bells.

to be honest with you, money trees aren't worth it, because the more money you plant, the more chances it will fruit money bags,....and it only fruits 90k, and if u bury say 30k, the chances are lik 30 or 50 percent

Money trees are random and useless. once i put in 50,000 and 150,000 from the tree, once i put in 99,000 and it gave 3 3,000 bags. then i put in 70,000 and it didn't even grow.
