money trees

I got the golden shovel and planted $10,000 bells. Anyways it has been over a week and while the tree has grown to full, it never produced any bells on it. If im not mistaken in AC for GC you had to plant them in a shiny hole, but I have never found a shiny hole on the DS version. Any thoughts?

Yea I planted a couple but they never grew any money. Stupid Money Trees!

Ok people the way money trees work now is when you plant one it will grow. but the higher the amount of money you plant the less chance that it will produce money.

Yea I thought that so I planted one with 1,000 and 100 and neither worked!

Just a quick note: It takes one week for a money to tree to go, and you need to water it at least once each day.

A money tree does not always produce bells and in fact the more money in it the greater the chance it will grow.

The max amout that will grow however is 90,000 bells.
in other words like planting 30,000 bells.

however plant more and there is a greater chance it will grow, but it is risky and not what I am going to do.

I planted a money tree, and it gre and produced 90k. You only need to plant 10k in order to get the three bags of 30k. I dunno why that is, but thats what happened whn I did it. It only took the normal amount of time for any tree to grow too, not a week.
