Definitely getting Rise. Skipped the $60 3DS MH port, because it was a $60 3DS MH port, lol.

I player the Stories demo on 3DS and it was cute but didn’t buy the game, so won’t be getting Stories 2.

Only concern I have is that there will probably be paid DLC for the first time in a MH game, considering there’s a deluxe version. I just hope future paid DLC will not include entire worlds, that’ll be disappointing and might even deter me from buying the game.

Other than my concern with paid DLC, MH Rise looks fun.

I am worried about DLC too, but MHWI updates were all free. So maybe it won't be so bad. Also l have tried the demo too for MHS, and it was okay but l didn't want it either. xD

My excitement for Rise is through the roof. I haven't played classic Monster Hunter since around 2014 with MH3U and I dearly missed it, but none of my friends wanted to buy a Switch, and I didn't get one myself until this year. We did play the absolute hell out of World/Iceborne on PC and still do occasionally, but now my friend is eager to pick up a Switch after watching the trailer for Rise. It's fantastic to see so many features from World returning, it looks like a beautiful combination of both old and new, which I think the series needed to prevent it from stagnating on console, especially after World set the bar so high for mobility and fluidity in combat. Haven't decided if I'll be buying the special edition yet, it doesn't look that enticing, which I'm okay with. All I know is that this will be a day one purchase for me and I'm eagerly awaiting March. I'll be surprised if the updates are paid DLC, Capcom would be insane to charge for future content after the outstanding support World had.

Can't say I really care about Stories since I never played the first one, but the trailer did look pretty nice.

Actually right now Monster Hunter Stories 1 is the number 1 selling game for 3ds right now! All thanks to this new trailer I would get back to the game too if l was you, because the stories are connected and it will be confusing of what is happening in the 2nd game.
