Welcome to StarGlow! Over the next month, you will see journal entries on how the island is renovated from an ordinary three-region resort island to a desert island. Because I have lost track of my island development from March 20th, I'm going to blog about renovating the island.

Before I go over the process, here are a few sample images of my town:

While Holly is my villager representative, both Holly (the blonde) and Charlotte (the redhead) are working on modifying StarGlow. They were on StarGlow since the beginning of this island, as any new characters were made after I started terraforming the island.

Day One
The first step was to fill up the lake the boardwalk is along. Despite being StarGlow's greatest feature, I have decided that the Museum and a potential Cafe and Museum Shop will be on its own island in the middle of a new lake. In addition, the lake will be on the second tier, unlike the first tier as seen in the picture.

Not only the entire lake was filled, but I also cleared up some scenery and put it in storage. At the same time, I built new cliffs and topped it with sand to expand the desert. Because the current desert region is too small to stand out, I decided to transform the entire island into a desert. Since this area was mostly a large body of water, it started as an empty piece of land with nothing as soon as it was filled.

In addition to terraforming, I also had to move buildings and demolish bridges. Since almost all of the animal homes are close to each other while buildings aren't scattered around like it was before I terraformed the island for the first time, this process is a lot easier this time. The first one to move was Charlotte, as I moved her to the forest. Her island, which was going to be a restaurant, is no more. The entire moat was filled, the fences and tables are in storage, and the house was moved. Not only that, but the bridge to her island was the first to be demolished. Her new island will be in development as the month rolls by.

Stay tuned for Day 2.
