Moving in Amiibo Question

Okay, so recently just got Rosies amiibo and idk if I'm just being stupid here or?

But if you invite them via amiibo arn't they supposed to essentially kick someone out once you invite them?

I did the task she wanted, and got the dialogue option of you should move here - but she said something along the lines of I'd love to but maybe another time???


I have full plots but I thought amiibos could just replace a villager? Is this actually not the case or have I done something wrong?

You have to do three tasks in total before she will move in. Nintendo sure loves their repetition of 3s.

You'll be able to successfully invite her and kick anyone of your choosing as soon as you complete her third task.

Do these tasks have a time break inbetween? Shes just on a loop of repeating her thanks whenever I talk to her now

She'll only ask you to craft something for her once a day, so you have to invite them over the course of 3 days. A pain to wait if you're not a time traveler.

You must scan her 3 times total, craft her her requested items, and she will want to join your island. You have to replace another villager and DON'T SKIP A DAY AHEAD. I made that mistake the first time I scanned an amiibo in. Stay on that day because the villager will talk to and replace the chosen villager and the chosen villager will then be in the boxes the same day!
