I've been thinking a lot about the new Animal Crossing, and I can only imagine that Multiplayer is gonna have an even bigger role in the new game for two reasons.
1. It's been getting bigger with each game it seems.
2. Now that we have to pay for online memberships I imagine more of their games will have bigger online components.

That being said, what kind of things do you think they'll make in the switch? My pipe dream is that I can share a town with friends from far away, but I don't think Nintendo could host the servers to do that. At the most there could be local town sharing between devices, but even that is a stretch.
I also hope they expand on the island games. In general I just want a lot more things to do with friends when we play together.

I think your idea of sharing a town is really cool! I would love to share a town with my girlfriend or friends, but still be able to play at the same time on separate Switch consoles.

I think I mentioned this in another thread, but my hope is for increased players in an online town (even 6 would be a huge improvement).

Gamexplain talked about having a community of sorts where your towns would all be a part of a bigger world iirc. I don't know how they would pull it off, but if they can, I can definitely see this being a thing.

Oh man, I have really mixed feelings on sharing a town with friends, actually!! On one hand, I love my friends. I love helping them with their towns and getting their help with mine, befriending each others villagers, and helping each other out!! But at the same time, I feel like we might have conflicting ideas on the overall theme of the town ;v; Plus.... while one friend and I tend to play nearly every day, another is busy with work and school and only plays once a month or so with us. I feel like we'd be leaving her in the dust while we made progress without her.

But yeah, I totally agree more players should be allowed in a town at once! I mean. If Splatoon 2 and Mario Kart can handle more players at once, I don't see why AC wouldn't be able to? Every once in a blue moon I'll have more than three friends want to play at once and I'll feel guilty not being able to include everyone, I'd hate for that to continue being a problem in the switch version! ;v; Also just. Imagine throwing parties in your town. That'd be so fun....

Another thing I'd love would to be able to play locally with two players on one system, though I doubt it'll happen tbh. My mom also loves playing animal crossing (specifically City Folk), but sometimes we get a little bored just watching each other play. It'd be neat to be able to play together.

I don't want to share my town. It's mine grr.

No but seriously I love multiplayer but not in this way.

To be honest, I don't wanna share my town with someone else. I prefer to have my own town
at this point. I have nothing against more minigames or more features for the multiplayer, but
something like town sharing is definitely a feature that I don't want in the new game. At least
I don't mind if they would offer it but you don't get forced to use it, more like you can decide
on your own if you would like it to use or not.
