My Amiibos have arrived!

The moment I have been waiting for. My first ever Amiibo card set!

In this set I have Isabelle, Porter, Grams and Gracie as my NPCs. Unfortunately 3 of those are completely useless in this game.

Not a bad haul for my first set. Definitely will be buying more of these.

I could do without Peewee, Barold and Curlos but you get what you get in these randomized packs. I am happy I got Stitches and Wolfgang though. And Tutu is arriving tomorrow so in all, very happy.

Congrats! I love the thrill of opening a new pack of cards, lol. And I definitely see some I'd love to have in there (Melba! Stitches! Egbert!)

Also, I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of the NPC cards that don't actually bring an NPC to Harv's in this game still have posters you can buy if you try to invite them. I know at least some do, but maybe not every single one.

Yah, like I just looked up "Shrunk" on this item database, since he's one that might seem useless, and it seems he has a poster. I'm pretty sure all of them do, but I could be wrong.

Congrats on getting your packs. I was so excited when I got my first order packs a couple weeks ago. You got some great villagers. I am impatiently waiting for some I ordered from ebay. They should be here on the 22nd.

I got mine on Amazon. For an inflated price but I got the official Nintendo ones, not the NFC ones. The NFC are significantly cheaper.
I got my Tutu card on Ebay.

That's why it's going to be a long time between pack purchasing because since I'm buying the official Nintendo ones it's going to be a lot more expensive.

As suspected, Porter, Grams and Gracie can't be invited to Harv's Island but Isabelle can. Heading back to my island to see if they have posters.
Okay, yes all three of them have posters. So I guess these cards aren't useless. Good to know.

I only got 3 female villagers. what gives?

Well at least I got a Snooty because I don't currently have one on my island. Time to put the campsite to the test.

So there are cards not working with New Horizon? Just NPC? I don't have the game yet. I don't have a lot of cards either, 2 of my packs come from TBT fairs (yay!) I hope to get a few packs from the next series.

The cards work. You just can't invite villagers or NPC's who aren't currently in the game to Harv's Island. You can still get their posters though.

Still hoping for Gracie in the game. Seems strange that she's the only shop npc (that I can remember) not in the game.

There might be someone from city folk that I don't remember. I didn't play much of that one...

oooh, nice! i’ve yet to purchase any amiibo card packs (hopefully one day), but i imagine the surprise of not knowing who all you’ll get is quite exciting! congrats on getting some that you like and finding tutu’s card on ebay!

npc cards will get more use in update and dlc with islands and Brewster.

I just bought some unofficial ones yesterday. 5 plus a free Jack card. And I opened the case for my hhd game today to discover I have a kappn card I forgot all about. Normally I don’t buy amiibos
But I’m tired of island hopping and not finding anyone I want and/or getting bored with it fast and ending up with a crappy random move in. It’ll be nice to get who I want for once

Thank you everyone. Yeah, these cards are pretty cool. I am adding Portia to my island via Amiibo.

Of course I was struggle bussing because I didn't know how to use them. As a result, I was slapping the back of the card down onto my Pro controller to no avail, not realizing that just holding the card over the Nintendo Logo for a second did the job. It was pretty comical.

I'm already anticipating buying more.
