I've been thinking over these last few days about the times I would play AC WW when I was younger. I remember the excitement of receiving a new villager and the sort of disappointment if a creature like Jambette decide to set up camp in my town! I miss that kind of feeling and I really do think that I would be fun if I reset my town that I have rendered lifeless with all my TTing back and fourth. I just didn't appreciate the villagers I had any more and I found myself getting more and more bored :( I am not going to start this challenge until Evernote who I have promised animals to receives them because doing anything else would be extremely unfair. I was just wondering whether or not anybody would like to join me? We could post on this thread and everybody could post their original villagers and I believe it would just be really fun to share experiences !

[RULES]
No TT of any form is aloud
Villagers that request to move cannot be told to stay
If a villager moves into an awkward or badly placed spot then, tough luck!
We can choose any map from Rover.
We cannot reset if we dislike our original five villagers or starting fruit.
Villagers are aloud to be adopted from the campsite however they are not aloud to be reset for!

If you agree with all these rules and want to join me then please do so, it will be so fun! Even if its just on a second copy of the game or for a laugh I'm sure it will be amusing to read about each others experiences! Oh and this doesn't have to nessirecerly New Leaf only Nuzlocke. If you have made too much progress on th 3ds version and still won't to join, feel free to use another version!

I guess you could call this a Nuzlocke of sorts :p

Thanks for reading :)

As much as I'd love to, I can't. My second copy is strictly for giveaways, and I've done too much on my main game to reset. BUT! I will do some of those. I'll allow main copy villagers to move and put themselves wherever they want to.

Sure! i have a 2nd town and i just made it yesterday, i think it will be fun! ill try to post daily here of photos of the adventure! :D

Good stuff !! Good luck I've become EXTREMELY picky when it comes to villager placement so this will be pretty hard !

i did though in the begginging with Rover set the month in march :) 6 month diffrence :D

- - - Post Merge - - -

The hardest thing will be not to TT...

I'm already playing that way - this being my first AC game. Don't really want to restart now because I've had my town for nearly a month and have gotten used to/fond of all my villagers, but I'll be with you in spirit!

(I only play Pokemon in Nuzlocke mode anyway, so it's not a big cultural change for me)

Haha, yeah. Same here. I plan on gathering all my hybrids and whatever that I don't want squashed.

I also have heard (and tried, so far it worked?) were you place bells on the locations you dont want to be housed. I put money around my rare flowers, and also my my 2nd players house. Sadely i guess there was room between the money and cliff, so Rocco put is darn house there. But from that i think that also works.

I already follow those rules except for the second one, I want most of my villagers to stay. I agree that it's more fun to play if you're not being picky.

I was Greeted off the train by:

Bubbles
Poppy
Wolfgang

At the tree planting ceremony I met:
Tank
Alfonso

My native fruit is Oranges!

While I don't have a second copy to do this with, I'll happily join you in the future. In the meantime, as a side version, could I do a similar thing with my old wild world game? The town is at it's worst state anyway and is weed infested, so I think a nice restart would be what I need. I personally want to set myself a goal for wild world:
Try and obtain every villagers picture before they move.

As soon as I get a second copy of New Leaf, I'll be sure to tackle this challenge properly. It's sounds so much fun. :)

Sounds good to me ! :D

Good luck! I follow most of those rules anyway but become FAR too attached to certain villagers to tell let them just leave when they like. ;)

Me too ! I think doing it like this though will be closer to the Nuzlocke spirit! I have a pretty good original five actually !

I've done this since the beginning because it's how I like to play the game, with the unexpected surprises and the challenges.

Huh. This does sound fun, but the thought of wiping my museum progress makes my blood run cold. I worked hard on that. Maybe if I ever get a second copy I'll give it a go.
