There might be some changes in the final version but here's the main team right now.

Yanmega
Item: Wise Glasses
Nature: Modest
EVs: 4 Defense/252 SPA/252 Speed
Moves:
-Protect
-Hidden Power (Ground)
-Air Slash
-Bug Buzz

Yanmega works well as a starter, due to its ability to scout out attacks and force other common starters to switch or die, not to mention the fact that Stealth Rock isn't in play on turn 1. Hippowdon, Swampert and Bronzong are all common leads who carry Stealth Rock, so you can send them to sleep with Hypnosis, preventing them setting up the entry hazard that plagues Yanmega. If you are not facing a slow, defensive enemy, Protect first turn, as it gives Yanmega a free Speed Boost. It also allows you to scout a Choice item user's attack and switch to the appropriate counter if necessary. Be careful, though

It's funny that Swampert's moveset has been changed so it doesn't have Rest, but the move is still mentioned in the description :D

I know :p.

Like I said, this is a beta team, so in the final version I'll mix up the moves and go crazy. No more smogon movesets :p.

eh, smogon wasn't around when i started playing Pokemon, we had to pick the moves we thought were the best by ourselves....But think about this, if all the people at smogon wanted to be the best, do you think they would let others in on their perfect move set for each Pokemon? The answer is no, so while the moves they pick are good for each Pokemon there's usually a better move set.

It doesn't work like that.

The people there are (I can't believe I'm saying this) generaly good people. All Smogon sets are contributed by the community, and tested before put on the website.

And think about it. If someone comes up with the best set ever, even if they don't want to reveal it they will eventually battle someone who will.

OK, but all I'm saying is, don't rely on smogon so much as to think that you can't get a better move set. They have some very good move sets, but there are better one's out there, depending on your batting style.

No-one should rely on their sets.

They're all solid on their own, but when making a team you need to adapt them to suit your needs.
