I've always wanted to attempt pixel art but it always seemed too hard for me, but lately I've tried a lot of new things on photoshop so I figured why not?
So I tried with Wind Waker Link because he's the cutest and what better subject for a first try, right?

on my DA

I have to admit I'm very proud of it, I spent 3 days on it and followed a dozen tutorials, but it was worth it ;_; It did take a long time so it's not something I'll do every day, but from time to time ^^ Since I drew him directly over a reference I can't try anything original yet, maybe someday...

If you have any advice or critiques please share! ♥

(ps to avoid this thread being a one time thing I'm thinking I'll turn it into a gallery once I have more to show)

Aww, nice! It's done well. I can't give much critique though because pixel art is a hard medium. Your work has really paid off though in those three days.

Wow that looks really good! It makes me want to try to make some pixel art! :)

It looks awesome! You did a really great job with the shading. c:

"Yahaha! You found me!"

I've loved the Koroks since The Wind Waker, it was so fun looking for them in Breath of the Wild ♥

I think I'm going to keep doing pixel art when I have some time, but I'm thinking I'll only do Legend of Zelda related characters
This one was smaller so I only did one layer of shading, it was a challenge though (the details on the leaf.....phew)
