In addition to the announcement of the 3DS/Wii U eShop shutting down (which can be discussed in this thread), Nintendo has also launched a new My Nintendo 3DS & Wii U Memories website allowing you to view some stats from your Wii U/3DS play times from 2011 to 2020, similar in nature to the Switch Year in Review. Feel free to post what your stats are from the Wii U and 3DS!

Here are my stats:

tbh, the one thing that stands out to me as a surprise is how low the hour totals are, considering how much higher my Switch totals have been so far.

Never had a Wii U, but for 3DS, AC: New Leaf is basically the only game I played on the system... and it had like 600+ hours :)

A little surprised by just how high my total 3DS play time is…

I wish they would give you the option to exclude some titles from the rankings. Because if you just looked at these charts, you would assume that I absolutely love Monster Hunter, when it's really that one of my siblings shared a 3DS with me. I feel like if it weren't for that, New Leaf would probably placed somewhere here.

And also because I don't consider my Netflix time to be equivalent to the amount of time playing actual games.

this is only for my second 3DS, so realistically most of these stats should probably be at least double. no wii u data because we probably have a different account linked to it.

Honestly, it's about what I expected for both systems. I'm a bit surprised at how many titles I had on 3DS though. I certainly didn't expect Wild World to make the top 3 for Wii U, I would've thought that one would go to NES Remix since I spent so much time playing it. Apparently not as much time as I thought I did!

I only played with the 3DS/2DS, these memories are coming from my first 2DS.
New Leaf is so high. 😭

I actually have about 200 additional hours not counted on here as I have a secondary 3DS that is logged into a different account. I mainly used it for my second Animal Crossing town as well as trading and shiny hunting in Pokemon. Also the hours for Pokemon X is 744hrs and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire is 566hrs.

I look like a totally different gamer from my Wii U stats haha. I still love my Wii U but the fact that it lacked titles and wasn’t very portable meant I played it a lot less than my 3DS. (I’m mostly a handheld gamer). Also the hours for Mario Kart 8 is 93hrs and Fire Emblem (Blazing Blade VC) is 74hrs.

I definitely know that my stats are incorrect? Probably because I have 4 Nintendo Network ID's for my parents and big brother. I really played on everyone's accounts. My stats are also incorrect because I just checked my Wii U and 3DS and my stats are WAAAY higher than this chart. CURRENTLY on my 3DS my top games are New Leaf and New Leaf Welcome amiibo (Both I combined because I have 3 towns and two copies are ACNL and one copy is ACNLWA), Happy Home Designer, Waku Waku Sweets, Mario and Luigi Dream Team, and Tomodachi Life. On Wii U my top games are Pikmin 3, Mario Party 10, Mario Kart 8, Amiibo Festival (Waay to many hours lol), Yoshi's Wooly World. THIS DOESNT EVEN COUNT HOW MANY HOURS I HAVE PLAYED WII GAMES LOL. WAY TO MANY.
Basically I like the Wii U and 3DS alot 🥰

here are mine!

my 3ds stats:
my_3ds_memories.png

I knew that New Leaf had the most hours, and Flipnote 3D surprisingly has 752 hours registered (I wonder how many hours I put into FS on the DSi lol), and Pokemon Omega Ruby has 439 hours. I've also spent a decent amount of time playing Colors 3D (not anymore), Pokemon Ultra Moon, Tomodachi Life, and Happy Home Designer.
I know those hours are gonna keep racking up because I still play my 3DS every single day :)
(also this is only my gold 3DS, though I haven't spend too much time playing the pink one besides like 60 hours on Omega Ruby and maybe 30-40 hours on New Leaf)

and my absolutely abysmal hilarious Wii U stats:

yeah when I say I barely played the Wii U, I mean it. I put 80 hours into NSMBU and 70 hours into 3D World. I think that MK8 has like 50-something hours and Super Mario Maker has 20-something. I kinda feel bad that the Wii U wasn't that big of a deal for me, so many people seemed to like it a lot in hindsight, but for me I actually dislike it more than I remember lol. only thing I really liked was 3D World and my Wii U refused to read it starting sometime in 2015. so yeah it was basically a machine for watching Netflix with lmfao (to be fair though I prob spent the same amount of time watching Netflix on my Wii too). I'm thinking about buying Minecraft for it so I have a reason to play it again.

I never bothered to connect my Nintendo account with my Wii U, so here’s my 3DS one.

The Wii U one seems a bit unreliable. I had to scroll over two of those icons to see what they even were and I played "Lost Reavers" for about 20 minutes before deleting it (I recall it being free, hence why I tried it) and I can't say know what "Swords and Soldiers II" even is. What's the deal? Did I only have a single other game that fell under 'Action' and 'Adventure' on my Wii U so they filled it in with 'whatever'?

Regardless, it was nice seeing this. Absolutely not surprised Monster Hunter is top for both consoles. Unsure why MH3 isn't shown on my 3DS data as I only played the Wii U version a fraction of the time, playing the 3DS version all the time via local co-op at my friends (though I think I had to reset all my 3DS data because I couldn't connect it to my Wii U for some reason when I got one, might be why).

I had such good memories with those consoles, especially helped by the compatibility between them (well...MH3U anyway) and the community at the time. Street Pass being another brilliant part of those consoles, I loved seeing whether I could finish another piece of a puzzle whenever I had been out, or starting to recognise familiar Mii's I came across regularly. Hanging out with friends just co-oping games. The boom of amiibo and me associating them forever with Jason bloody Burrows (if you know, you know). Splatoon releasing and the forum obsessing over it. I've yet to really have memories like that with the Switch and I kinda think I never will. I think in general I loved the community surrounding these consoles at the time which I don't really see with the Switch.

Thank you @~Kilza~ for posting the link to My Nintendo memories as I had no idea that this was available.

I find it incredible because I had 4 towns (4 separate 3DSs) so I don't even know how many actual hours I put into ACNL. Also, I remember playing SoS, but I didn't realize how much I played SIMS. Guess it was how I like to spend my down time while in College. Just very different from the games I currently play now, which are RPG/Strategy/FPS.

Again, thanks for making this thread. Nice to walk through memory lane.
