Thanks! I'm glad you think so. I was looking at food themed villagers and went to see what I could come up with with a species that hasn't been give a food theme. I saw hippos and for a while I was looking at their big noses. Eventually I came to the realization that their nose? Snout? It has a potato shape so I went with that. Then I was trying to see if there were any recipes that used a whole potato, and there really aren't any except a baked potato. So I just went with that and hoped for the best. I wasn't sure how I was going to do the sour cream, but I remembered that Merengue has a frosting looking design on her nose so I tried to work around that and looked other food villagers in hopes I could get more inspiration.
The gummy villager was created by someone else on here. I don't remember their name, but they brought up that anytime they see a cub villager in Animal Crossing, they think of gummy bears, so I went ahead and made that.
I love them all! They’re all so adorable ^.^. Of the villagers, I think my favorites are the tater tot hippo and banana split cat, though they all are extremely cute and such fun concepts.

Thanks! For Tate the hippo, I was trying to think of what I could use to represent a potato-like villager, because I saw how creative the other food themed villagers were. His nose, or schnozzle, is based off of a stuffed baked potato, so it has sour cream, melted cheese, green onion, and tomato. I thought the argyle shirt was fitting, too, since it has the same kind of colors. Waffel the cat has waffle cone ears, a banana between her ears, sort of like Tangy with a leaf between her ears. Then she has like Neapolitan fur, I guess, with peanut whiskers, cherry blush, with caramel drizzle and chocolate dipped arms and hands.
