Last Sunday, I went over half the list of the furniture series in ACNL and how I ranked them. Today, I will finish the list I was going over. We're on part 2, and it will cover the entire upper half. I'm sorry if I couldn't put the entire list in one entry, but I have to stay within the limits. But it doesn't mean I can't have a part 2. This is another sequel to a previous blog entry.

  • #18 - Cabana Series - although this furniture series is ranked very low in furniture series that can be bought at Tom Nook's store from the Gamecube version, it appears to make it to my top half. It's not that the other furniture series look pretty bad, but this is a perfect series for a hotel themed house. It's kinda lame that this furniture series was orderable in the first three games as it became unorderable in New Leaf, but we got three other furniture series that took the opposite direction.
  • #17 - Golden Series - this furniture series is very interesting. Even if it's monochromatic, it looks valuable. However, it looks more like an Incan treasure room. It was introduced to City Folk as DLC, but it became more of a regular theme in New Leaf. I like how we can obtain golden furniture. However, I do not like that the furniture Cyrus gives you is random. Shouldn't we ask him what we want rather than make random furniture? It would be better that way.
  • #16 - Classic Series - this is another furniture series that would make a good hotel in AC. While the Cabana Series is to a beach hotel, the Classic Series would be good for a limited-service hotel. That, and it's fancier.
  • #15 - Stripe Series - this is one of the better furniture series introduced in New Leaf. To tell you the truth, the Stripe Series is kinda weird, but the reason why I ranked this higher is because of this stupid game mechanic where some furniture is sold more frequently than others. In the first two towns I had, this is one of the few furniture series that almost never shows up in the Nooks store. The dominant furniture group has to be the worst. In StarFall, this series is a commonly stocked furniture series. I felt bad for this series, so I had to rank it higher. Besides, I like the lines and form used in every furniture piece.
  • #14 - Modern Series - the Modern Series is even another furniture series that would make a good hotel. In fact, it's better off as a hotel series rather than a hous series. The table looks like a hotel glass table, the bed is for two people, the cabinet looks like a fancy piece, and the whole checkerboard patterns make this series interesting. It is also the best furniture series you can refurbish at the Re-Tail. I like that it has more options than the other furniture series and how they look good after refurbishment.
  • #13 - Blue Series - blue has to be one of my favorite colors. It's rarely a bad color (it always is in American politics, but not in most cases). It may not sound creative, but it was creative at the time it was introduced. It's study-themed environment, the diamonds in patterns, and the blue wood makes this furniture series very appealing. I even like the options Cyrus gives you when you modify furniture pieces.
  • #12 - Green Series - the Green Series used to be my favorite furniture series when I was little, but mainly because everything in this furniture series is green. Since it was a childhood favorite, it still remains to be a childhood favorite. It is in the top five furniture series provided at Nook's store in the first three games, but not even in the top ten in New Leaf in general. It's still good as it goes green and clean.
  • #11 - Ice Series - this is a fantastic looking furniture series. The winter theme is the one thing that made the Ice Series a cool theme. It's also better looking and easier to get than the Snowman Series (I hate that I cannot get a perfect snowman). This furniture series is something I currently have and I'm not going to "let it go".
  • #10 - Spooky Series - here we are! This is the top ten, which is dominated by seasonal objects and sci-fi furniture. Halloween may be my favorite holiday to decorate for, but the Spooky Series isn't the best as Halloween decorations. I like Jack-o-Lanterns, ghost lamps, and other Halloween decorations, furniture pieces to resemble a character doesn't make the furniture theme look good. This is a flaw the Snowman Series had.
  • #9 - Ranch Series - this country-themed furniture series looks nice and comfortable. There's not much to say, but it fits the basic American Country furniture style.
  • #8 - Harvest Series - it's funny how people set up decorations. As soon as Halloween is over, it is time to put away the Halloween decorations. While some people still keep them out until later in November, others put up Christmas decorations early in November (like you can see huge wreaths in the malls). It feels like Thanksgivings is being skipped. At least it's not skipped in Animal Crossing. In fact, it had a furniture series on its own. I hated it that Nintendo had to drop this furniture series (and the Jingle and Spooky series) out in Wild World to be culturally neutral, but at least this furniture series came back. What's even better, the Harvest Series is orderable in the catalog, unlike the past three games. The reason why I ranked this furniture series so high is because it looks good and like a turkey.
  • #7 - Sweets Series - I may have ranked three of the GracieGrace furniture series in the bottom half, but there are two others that are in the top half, and they both made it to the top ten. The Sweets Series looks really delicious, but I bet it's made out of wood, metal, and fabric rather than real candy. In Belcroft, I had a house that is completely made of sweets exteriors and furniture. In addition, this is the fall furniture series from GracieGrace, and fall is my favorite season.
  • #6 - Mush Series - just one word - beautiful. It looks like a very beautiful fall forest. And compared to the other unorderable furniture series, this one is quite easy to obtain every piece without duping or hacking. I do not like mushrooms as food, but I like this furniture series.
  • #5 - Jingle Series - Halloween may be my favorite holiday to decorate for, but the Christmas themed furniture looks much better than the Halloween themed furniture. Alone, it looks better than any holiday theme, but it is better if other Christmas items and desserts are added to a room that's using this series. One of my characters in StarFall has a Christmas themed room. It looks very good.
  • #4 - Cabin Series - we're already at the peak of all the Gamecube version series. The Cabin Series looks very appealing to me. Although this furniture series is the best series for a winter shelter in a winter themed house, it looks more Southwestern or Mexican than any winter theme in general. Just letting you know, all of the top ten furniture series on my list look very North American (including those futuristic themes I have yet to cover).
  • #3 - Astro Series - the Astro Series does not look as good as the Robo Series, but due to its sci-fi nature, the Astro Series is the best furniture series introduced to New Leaf, orderable or not. In other news, it's also the best furniture series for a hotel themed house.
  • #2 - Robo Series - after its introduction in Animal Crossing: Wild World, not much could top this furniture series. The Robo Series was one of my favorite furniture series, and it's the best I could buy from the Nooks and order from th catalog. This is also Kaylee's primary furniture series in all three towns. This futuristic furniture series may have character shaped furniture pieces, but it's different. One reason why I liked this furniture series is that it included a TV, a radio, a lamp, and a clock. In New Leaf, if the lamp doesn't get refurbished, the light will glow green.
  • #1 - Gorgeous Series - not only this is my favorite furniture series you can get from GracieGrace, but this is my favorite furniture series in the entire Animal Crossing franchise. The gold linings, red velvet, and black wood make this 1920's New York furniture theme look beautiful. It was the first furniture series I completed in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. In Belcroft, I even had a house where every room primarily used the Gorgeous Series. It maybe one of the most expensive, but this is the best. It's the main reason why I wanted T&T Emporium. The Gorgeous Series is to Animal Crossing as the Cross Controller theme is to Little Big Planet (which looks more sci-fi than anything under the Sci-fi HHA theme).

I am done ranking furniture series in ACNL. Next Wednesday, I will go over themes and which ones are the best or worst.
