Hello day 12! Today I'm going to shake things up a bit and introduce some new elements I'm going to add to my blog posts. Now as I mentioned yesterday, I went to Gamestop today, woo! There, along with at Best Buy, I bought three games: Sonic Colors, LittleBigPlanet: Collector's Edition, and Donkey Kong Country Returns (hooray for Christmas money!) I decided that maybe I could try my hand at reviewing. Starting today, I'm going to review a game every Sunday (with a few exceptions) The previous Sunday, I'll list the title of the game, give a "first impressions" sort of review to prepare you, and let you pick the topics I base the review off of. Each week, I'll review the game by four topics, chosen by you guys and myself. Anyway, to begin, I think I'll start with Sonic Colors.
Sonic Colors is a game that takes our favorite blue hedgehog back to his roots. That's right, this is one of the first "Sonic" games in quite a long time, not counting Episode 4. Not to be a hypocrite, but the last Sonic game I played was Secret Rings. Still, this game reminded me of the good old days when I played Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. Funny story linked to that, so when I was young my friend told me to get the game called "Sonic Battle." I go to Target to search for it, and I find Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. Thinking it's the right game, I buy it... But my friend actually meant the Gameboy Advance game named Sonic Battle. Anyway, for a game I accidentally bought, it was a great one that I thoroughly enjoyed.
Back to Colors. Sonic and Tails travel to this amusement park created by Eggman thinking it's evil. You play a few levels to kind of explore the place, then soon find out that Eggman is kidnapping these aliens called Wisps to use for his evil deeds. After that, the game commences like a normal Sonic game: Stopping Dr. Eggman.
And I'll stop it there. Tune in next week for a more thorough review of Colors, and please post in the comments what topics you'd like to see me review it by (like music, graphics, voice acting, etc.) I think that's enough of blogging for now, so I'm going to cut it off. Thanks for reading, and remember to come back next Sunday for the full review!
Question of the Day: What do you think would be a good reviewer name for me? Like ______ reviews or something.
Oh, P.S. I promised a picture of my homemade city once my SD card worked, so here it is: Salus.
