My Thoughts About The Groups....

Well I Noticed That A Few People Started Making Groups Inside The Forum Because Members Could Not Make Groups...Well I Think That If That The Owners/Mods Here Could Have A System That It Could Create A Pending Submittion To The Control Pannel.... [Sorta Like The Request Name Changes....]Then Admins/Mods Could Approve The Resquest.

There would eventually be an insane amount of groups which are all doing the same thing. I don't see why there needs to be any more groups than there already is to be perfectly honest.

EDIT: Also, it's just more work for storm, which he doesn't need.

There Are Existing "Groups" Posted Here By Some Members Like "OakRidge Brigade" Or The New One "AC Masters" People Have Great Ideas Out There.... But The Spam Thing I Agree With...

But aren't those two groups practically the same thing?

They meet up, do wifi stuff, then go back to their every day AC lives. Surely people can do that without creating groups, after all, this is an AC forum >_<

But If Multiple People Join The Group.... If They Have Confidentcial Facts To Share With The Members Only.... They Can't PM Them...It Takes Too Long.... They Can't Wifi.... Take To Long To Do So... 3 At A Time...

Jas0n has my thoughts on the spamming down, but I do disagree about not having a system. There are probably hundreds of Zetaboard scripts we can use to make such groups organized. As for the hundreds of useless groups..maybe rules should be established. For example, your group may offer some sort of specific service, such as harvesting, or de-weeding.
These specialized groups I can actually look forward to, not those annoying "LOL lets met up @ the rooost and tlk abot kk slider and thn tlk about the corners of teh cliffs in my twn" groups.

The groups need to have something different about them, they can't all be the same boring old thing.

Yea, i agree witht eh spamming thing... in fact thats what i thought about before i even formed the OakRidge Brigade at all.. fearing it would cause a mass trend or something and end up crashing the forum down, but I knew at least 10 REASONABLE people that would understand the whole point and formed it anyway purely to try and make everyone be circled in a more friendly environment. Not just that, but at least if they are in a group, like the OakRidge Brigade, then you already know that person hat you are about to WiFi with has already been approved to be a reasonable,if not overly polite individual that would not destroy your town.

Thats what the main thing of the OakRidge Brigade does. I let people harvest from my lands, and i give them my items that I don't need. o_o; The members that's BEEN to my town know this fact... and i know it probibly would've been backwash to repeat this info, but apparently it needs to be stated.

I'm fairly interested in starting an interior decorating group. We can design rooms for clients, and then we sell the furniture they'll need to create the room. It would be like a small business, sort of.

I think if people decide they want to create certain groups for things, Storm should create proper Joinable Groups and then give leader to people who think they could plan out events and things like that. That way things would be more organised because each group would have their own forum. There could be a gardening group, an interior decorating group, a pattern-designing group, etc.

I would say maximum of 3 people for group leader and those people would have to get along, it would be kind of stupid to have 3 people that all hate each other XD

Yes, of course. If everybody in the group had grudges against each other, no business would be created from it. Hopefully, Storm takes our suggestions. This would be very beneficial to everyone if this actually works.
