This was on sale, so I decided to get it a few days ago. Customizing my character at the beginning was a bit of a pain, but I got through it.

Unfortunately, I was only able to play for maybe 45 minutes. I had motion sickness from it to the point where I was physically sick and then had "bed spins" for several hours.

What I saw was cute, and it looks like it would be fun, but I can't play like that. Anyone have any tips on how to remedy this?

I’ve thought about picking this up several times but I kept seeing negativity online so it turned me off. Also not crazy about the art style...

I've enjoyed the bit I have played but the console versions are behind and in major need up updates. So I haven't played in a long time as I'd rather wait and see how they improve the game.

I believe I heard a new company will be taking care of the updates on console from now on. So hopefully things will only improve from here. Last I heard the next update is estimated for the end of 2020 but I won't be surprised if it gets pushed to next year.

Sorry I don’t have any tips about the game as I don’t own it. I heard good things about it on steam, but since I don’t play on PC I never got it and then I heard it was coming to the Nintendo switch and it looked pretty good from the trailers I’ve seen leading up to the release day. But unfortunately as soon as it came out for the switch I started seeing a lot of negativity about it and it made me decide not to get it. I was tempted at one point to get it cause I also saw the sale for the game in the eshop. Maybe the game is just better on PC than the switch is my guess based on the reviews for both, but I could be wrong. Anyways hope it gets better for you!! Let me know if I’m wrong and I should give it a shot!

It's a lot of fun but if I were you it's probably best to see if these next few future updates from the new team help bring the game up to a more polished finish. It's playable for the most part but it can be quite quite slow and buggy at times and some players have frequent crashes which is a problem when you can only save once you go to bed for the night.

I'm hopeful for these new updates, but honestly only time will tell.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. Maybe I'll see about reaching out to the devs and find out if they have any thoughts on how to minimize the motion sickness problems. If I could get rid of that, I think I'd be able to play, especially if they are planning updates to make it a bit less clunky.

Thanks so much for the info! ^^ I’ll definitely wait this one out and hopefully it will get all sorted out with time and future updates!

I sent a message to the developer on Twitter, and they got back to me fairly quickly. While they didn't address the problem I had directly, they did say that they are working on updates/patches for the console versions, and that they expect to release them early next year.

I think I'll just set the game aside until then and see if I can make it work then. The good thing is that I bought it on sale, so I'm not out a huge amount of money.
