if i push back time, will he stay in boxes? For example, it's nine right now so if I move it back to 7 am, will he stay in boxes?

I just need a few days because im buying a new copy.

If he's in boxes now and you go back to 7am he'll still be in boxes and you can't convince him out of it. Or he may be gone, since town time resets at 7am. Basically you've lost him unless someone holds him for you... But you'll still have to have 16 villagers before you have him back.

hmmm I thought it was 5:59am...does new leaf do time changes? My town resets at 6am so for example when I wanted to get Gracie's checks over again the same day I just went to 5:59 and it reset at 6am...confused...and I thread crapped...sorry about that

The best thing you can do is just not play until you get your new copy. When you get your new copy, set back the time on the old copy to sometime today (10/4) BEFORE loading the game. If you load game on a date after today, he'll be gone for good.

Hope this helps. The only other thing I can think of is getting somebody to hold him for you.
