Just finished this up. I heard Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" a few days ago and I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO IT. So I made a picture for the song. It's funny because the song itself completely personifies the Sarah Radish character from my novel. So I asked the real Sarah to send me some pics of ex-lovers to hang on the wall. And here we are.
The main problem with this is I CAN'T DRAW WITH A MOUSE, so things like Sarah's hair and arm are all messed up. I am in LOVE with my hair though. I plan on touching this up a bit later, fixing the arm and maybe adding an actual background rather than just slapping a pattern down.
And yes, the picture she's holding is a picture of me.
Made this for a friend last night while we were Skyping.
Was having fun making a really detailed background that took about an hour to make before I started running scripts on the picture of her to give it a "darkness" effect. But when I ran one script it totally messed up the image and wouldn't let me go BACK so I had to START ALL OVER.
In the end I just changed the colors of a bubbles background and ta-dahhhh. Really disappointed that I lost the other one though. It had like a red light effect and everything.
VERY pleased with it. I figured why not since I've been getting lots of art lately! Plus it makes it waaaay easier to request stuff!
I've decided I'll make refs for each of my characters that I have enough art for. Then I'll go looking for more art to make more!
But what do all my lurkers think? Does it look okay?
I'm thinking about selling ref sheets for OCs and Mayors. Would you buy one?
