So I'm sure a lot of people have trouble placing their PWPs exactly where they want them. I was just wondering if there was a trick to it. I feel like I've read somewhere that there was, but I'm not 100% sure. So, is there a trick? Or will it always just be a guessing game?

Edit: I usually just keep plotting the pwp until Isabelle puts it in the right spot I want it to be :/ not helpful

No, it is! That's actually my current method, but since I can't see if, say, it's lined up with another PWP or house or whatever, it's hard to place them properly. :(

I usually end up playing the guessing game when I'm placing mine (try a spot, wait for the preview, then move a square or two based off of what I've seen) - when I got my windmill exactly where i wanted it on the first try, I was overjoyed! :) But I've found that with PWPs that are buildings, where you're standing will be the door or the single space in front of the door; that one came in handy while I was placing my campsite!
I do like digging holes to save myself from wasting time by accidentally standing too far over a line, though! At least then I have a better estimate of where I'm putting my project.

Wow, thank you so much! The 'hole' tip is perfect! <3

laying down a pattern helps make sure it's in the perfect spot. You can still place it over the pattern though, so if you can still see the pattern right next to it success!! and if not, then try again until it's within your guide lines!

That's also a really neat tip! Thank you very much! :)
