Need help with creating my own magical girl! (ﾉ>ω<)つ──☆*:・ﾟ

So I'm starting my final art project in college and the theme is transformation! I want to do a huge picture of a normal kawaii lil school girl (lol ya I'm a weeb fight me) then next to her, her in her magical outfit!

I would appriciate it if some of you gave me a couple ideas? like colour schemes, style, what her outfit could include, weaponry, little companions (lil magical animal pet ting) because I really have no clue T^T I want to make sure I don't copy PMMM, Cardcaptor Sakura, Sailor Moon, Tokyo Mew Mew and other magical girl anime because of copyright of course ;-; tysm!

I was thinking about that haha! I'll do little sketches of a few magical girls from all the ideas I receive and see which one I like best! Pastel green is such a cute colour :'3

As a fellow art weeb art student myself, the only thing I can recommend is using the colour wheel and hues of colours that are complementary and harmonious (both different things, but you know what I mean). Harmonious colours are pleasing to the eye and can really make a character as well as his/her outfit. Usagi Tsukino's outfit in Sailor Moon is a good example of harmonious colours, as well as Hulk's pants. You just gotta know what colours look good with each other, but you need to have enough contrast in those harmonious colours to really make it work.

for weapons you could do twin crossbows, twin rapiers, daggers, and even a scythe (those are my favorites to draw)
you also gotta decide if you want her to look ethereal, really cute, fluffy, etc.

Her weapon should be a hedge trimmer and her companion should be a platypus who identifies as a fruit bat.

I also don't recall seeing any bald magical girls...Just sayin'.
