I did the same thing(put a layout of the acres) in my town. I used this guide to help me. Or if it doesn't help then i can come over to your town and help if you want.

i'm not sure what kind of trouble you're having, or if it's already fixed, but i hit some problems doing mine. i began by just outlining my entire town and i wasn't even counting at this point. after that was over, i began going back and making lines vertically down my town every 16 squares, then began going horizontally. when i had it like 99.9% done i realized that somewhere in the middle of my town, my marks weren't lining up at the point when i had to begin from the other side because my river got in the way... :/
turns out, i went back and counted, and i had given one entire row 17 squares instead of 16... if you're going to do this, i would highly recommend carrying around like 3-4+ axes and cutting down any possible trees that are in your line of sight to get this perfect. being one square off ruins everything, and 2+ hours of work is down the drain. sucks. :/
i'd like to know how it's going and if it's straightened out though. i'd love to help on this because i know how terrible it is. =*(

I blocked out my entire WW town and didn't have to cut anything down. But I put down a 16 tiles in a row and then left the 4 in the corners. I haven't even begun to map out in CF. I'm just filling in spaces and planting loads of flowers. I'll map it out on a slow weekend.

Good luck with yours. : )

To get a absolute perfect town rating you will need....

Aproxamitley, not counting that not every acre has to be perfect, only 5-10, this is a full 25 Acre req.

you don't "have" to cut anything down, but it's easier so you don't miscount by 1 square and throw off your entire town's squares.

The snag was that when I was doing it I found out that the lines in the middle were 5 blocks appart so I was a little confused.
But I just sorted it out but the last line on the right seems to be 18 blocks wide.
But im just ignoring that fact and now plotting my trees.
But (the 3rd but) if anyone wants to you can help me plant trees and flowers.
I will pay you!
Thanks in advence

You have to keep in mind that EACH ACRE needs to be a full 16x16 grid. Only laying down one line of pattern to mark off the edge of an acre ends up being confusing, because you might forget which acre that line belongs to. I laid down a line around the entire square of one acre in one pattern, then the next acre was outlined in another pattern. This way I was sure that all the squares in and including that pattern belonged to that acre.

By only laying down one line of pattern to mark off the 16th space, you end up forgetting if it's the bottom or the right or whatever side of the acre you were counting to.

Here's a pic of one of my intersections.
