need help!

can I time travel a couple hours back in the same day to keep a villager in boxes from leaving?? a friend of mine wants to come and take a villager but its 10pm and they still don't have an empty plot and I want to go back in time to delay the leave. they did this today with one of their villagers, and when they TTd on the same day, just a couple hours back, the plot was empty and the villager was gone. will this happen if I do it? because they used to do it and it'd be fine. am I unable to do this anymore?

i believe so! if you can do it with open plots, then i’m pretty sure you can do it to prevent villagers from leaving ^^

yup they do end up leaving ): EDIT: nvm! i said it didn't because someone told me it didn't and was like don't do it you'll lose your villager and I ended up having to do it anyway and my villager is still in boxes!!

wait it actually does work nevermind! i said it didn't because someone told me it didn't and was like don't do it you'll lose your villager and I ended up having to do it anyway and my villager is still in boxes!!

ah great!! i thought it would be weird since you’re still technically in the same day, glad it worked out for you !

You can stay on the same day as long as you want and never have the villager leave as long the clock doesn't pass 5:00 A.M. Even if you close the game and don't play for several days, you can TT back to the same day before loading the game the next time you play and your villager will still be there.
