TBH I haven't had any success with the Masuda method myself smh but I haven't tried it since X&Y. JUST DON'T GIVE UP! Your shiny Bulbasaur is coming! 
Idk if it will make you feel better but I will say as far as shiny Pokemon horror stories go, my friend has a bad one--she reset over 2000 times for a shiny Raikou in Alpha Sapphire, then when one popped up she was so used to just resetting that SHE RESET AGAIN! Thankfully it only took her around 200 more resets to get another shiny one. So no matter how many regular Bulbasaurs you hatch, remember it could be worse lol. And at least you can form a Bulbasaur army!

You can do it just don’t give up! I’m and on and off shiny hunter myself. Don’t be afraid to give yourself a break so you don’t burn yourself out on it too.
A good tip I find useful is to find something to do while hunting such as watching a show for example. Masuda can be really hit or miss. Just be persistent it’ll come eventually. ^_^

Keep at it. I've bred probably 30 or so Masuda Method shines by now. You never know when it will pay off. I've had some hunts last hundreds of eggs, while other times I get what I'm looking for very quickly. I once managed to hatch a shiny Sableye for a team I was building and got it on the very first egg. When I was first trying it out in Black & White with a Porygon hunt, I swapped the Porygon out for a moment to breed a Tepig for someone and got a shiny Tepig instead. That was neat but annoying at the same time, but the blue flames on Emboar made it more tolerable.

thanks i choose bulbasuar because venasuars flower is a cool gold color i rembember when i bred lt surges volty and got a shiny from it...then i saw that masuda method dosnt work with volty so i got a full odds shiny pichu
Do not give up! It'll come eventually! I've tried the method back in X and Y, And whole I wasn't patient enough to do it, I was persistent, got the shiny charm in Moon (it now increases the odds of getting shinies, so I highly recommend it) and BOOM! With a bit of patience, I got Charmander (and the Black Charizard looks better than ever lol)! Just find something to watch or do while you shiny hunt, and time will pass so quickly you won't even notice. Good luck, and keep going!

I'm working on resetting to try to get shiny Celebi in Crystal Virtual Console version. Not only is there no Masuda Method, but this is the old shiny chances, which is 1 in 8192. This is going to take a while.
I have crystal for 3ds too...but heck if im gonna try to get a shiny celebi...thats too much time lol
