i'm trying to make one right now! i have a little sliver of land on the right side of my town that i've dedicated to just residential area, but i need someone to move out and put an incline in their spot.
it's a work in progress, but i have a plan in mind! i have resident services and all the shops close to the bottom of the map, near the airport as a shopping district. then above that, separated by a river, is where all the residents reside in like a little neighborhood. i have them organized in one long horizontal row currently, but i might mix it up and line them in rows of two. we'll just have to see.
Once I unlock terraforming I'm planning on making a bunch of little hills all across the right side of the map and putting all the houses on their own hill! It'll be quite expensive with all the ramps needed but a pretty fun long term project.
I’m trying to make small neighbourhoods right now, but I feel like I’ll make a whole lot more progress once I can terraform and move my house onto the cliff where I wanted it in the first place
I thought about it, but my map is kinda wonky. So it would take a lot of work, but I’ll figure something out! I might just have homes together in different spots of my island rather than a residential area.
I have a bunch of ideas, including creating streets named after fruits, then line those streets with those trees. I also know how I want my museum. But after that, who knows.
I've discovered a lot of interesting tricks by visiting other towns. I visited one island that had Saharah and they managed to box her in using fencing. It was a great concept, and I want to make it easy for people to visit my town and use the amenities too!
I'm planning on having two different areas. Down near the shops I want to have a more planned out residential area, and up in the northern area I want to make a sort of forest village. I haven't really started working on it yet because I'd have to move basically everything though.
Nah... I just got the town hall today and I'm just trying to pay off bridges now. I don't really have a plan yet, but I like when the houses are scattered all over the island.
